    I have had this phone six months, for the money it has been ok, the only problem i encountered was the OTG never worked, gamepads, memory sticks never registered as being attached, After repeated emails to Xiaomi where they Initially said the model did not support OTG they have now admitted it does and have finally agreed it could be faulty and asked i returned it. I have just kept it as a spare backup phone.

    Nothing special, not particularly fast shutter but more than acceptable in daylight. Night shots are noisy and slow as expected on cheaper devices.

    We got one in the last deal but seems to have issues with IDMobile sims, no/very weak phone signal indoors, switch the sim to any other phone, and it's fine, put another network sim in this phone and it's fine! Has anyone else come across this?

    I had the redmi note 10 purchased in jan 2021 but was stolen last week
    Looking to spend £80 to £150 for a similar replacement would this do or can I do a bit better for not much more? I found the note 10 a little big big so smaller would be nice. (edited)

    But if you are used to Redmi, it's best to go to for recent Redmi 12 which you can get from Amazon (European countries) for about £150.

    How does this compare to Poco M5 deal that was just posted. Would like to buy the mother a new phone, and I think Xiaomi would like be best for the budget. I think the maximum would be around £130. Any ideas?

    Poco seems more reliable than the Redmi. In this thread alone at least 2 people have commented about having issues.

    SIM problems when you have 2 Sims interfere with each other, no signal. Late SMS sent /receive.
    Has internet dropping problem. Changes to dark mode on its own. Freezes for 10 minutes. Poor camera takes eternity to load when you want to take photo. Xiaomi churned out phones too quick has bugs

    I have asked my mother about these issues and she says no.
    She's happy with the camera and is much better than the Samsung J5 she had before.
    I have also tested the camera on it and it takes pretty decent pictures.
