It's a good job NVMe prices are tumbling!

Xbox Series storage needs to follow suit or at least release an official adapter - I paid £76 for a 2TB stick for my PS5 - the same storage for XSX is £280!

Cod being the ps4 version is a bit pants.

    When does it go live?

Turns out aleady got it anyway... must've been a ps+ game already in the past (edited)
    SnoopZ's avatar
Essential games go live first Tuesday of each month.

These games have never been on PS+ before.

As mentioned above, don't play COD cold war online until the exploits have been patched, as this game currently reveals your IP address.

Update, it appears to have been addressed.

I wonder if Xbox will be competing with that line up this month (I own a Xbox by the way) Sony wins again this month 🏻
    WhaleTrain's avatar
I mean, Game Pass obliterates Sony's offerings each month but you know

Everyone needs to play Alan Wake. Shame that the remaster is way buggier than the original though.
    cannibalwombat's avatar
I played it at launch and had zero bugs, only the jank that was in the original, like: dodgy lip-syncing, cutscenes running at a much lower framerate than gameplay and therefore a bit jarring, forced platforming sequences in a game that is very much not a platformer and therefore frustrating. I was more disappointed that it wasn't more of a remake or even beefier remaster (no HDR, no raytracing, no proper 3D audio) and didn't come bundled with American Nightmare. Still, competently repackaged and super fun to play.

The COD campaign is worth a play through if you haven't already.
    Arda_Aslan's avatar
Nope, you pick what you want to install, you aren’t required to install with any of the cods anymore
  11. Curlyman83's avatar
Another triad of underwhelming games, in my opinion.

Hasn’t been a good Call of Duty since World at War.

I bought Alan Wake Remastered after rave reviews from the community here: absolutely dreadful game. And a stupid storyline to boot.

I saw a few reviews for Endling recently and all the talk has been positive. Unfortunately, that particular genre is just not for me.

I was looking forward to this month, and maybe I'm alone in this, but I'm seriously underwhelmed by the COD campaign.

I usually really enjoy the campaigns, apart from Ghosts, Infinite, BO3, and that other space-age shooter (not Infinite, the other one). Loved MW 1 - 3 and BO 1 - 2. WaW was great too. But Cold War just seems so boring and tame, and I really am not appreciating the way they turned Woods into Michael De Santa. It's so childish and irritating to me.

    Real shame...
    Mojomaster1979's avatar
I saw the install size and didn't bother. No game is worth that download size.
  13. sc597's avatar
Why oh why can't Sony just auto add games into your library for the period your PSPlus subscription runs?
    SnoopZ's avatar
My guess is it gets people into their store which is reasonable thing for them to do.
  14. barns's avatar
How does PS Plus work, do you get to keep the game or do you need an active subscription etc… guess the game is available for a limited time and then you can’t play any more if it’s removed from store?

never tried before I’ve only ever bought physical games, does it work out cheaper than second hand games
    SnoopZ's avatar
    There are 3 Tiers

Essential - you get to add 3 games to your library from first Tuesday of a month, once added you can keep and play these games forever, you also get online multiplayer.

Extra(no brainer tier) - everything from Essential as well as 100s of other games to play, games sometimes leave the service after several months.

Premium - all of the above with the addition of some older classic games and the ability to stream some.

You need to stay subbed to play the games you add to your library, here is a games list.

In my opinion the Extra tier is a no brainer to sub to as long as you don't want to own the games, think of it like Netflix but there are awesome AAA games in the list.

    theloadout.com/ps-…ist

I recommend buying top up funds from places like Shopto as you get the funds cheaper then purchasing your desired sub from the Playstation store, a few times a year they offer a 25% discount. (edited)

Cold War being the best since BO4. Felt more like older CODs.

Wasn’t Black Ops 4 online only, with no actual campaign?

Never played Alan Wake so will be straight on that. CoD campaigns are decent too so can't complain there, great month!

Xbox knows their gamers will defend rubbish. So no point in putting in effort
  28. cannibalwombat's avatar
Alan Wake is magnificent and (I think) my 3rd favourite game of all time. Glad that it's getting more exposure. With this and all the marketing going into Alan Wake 2, seems Remedy and 505 are really keen for it to succeed, which I hope it does. It's just a shame (and ridiculous) that there will be no physical release for AW2.
    TobiRIP's avatar
Yes they released it way too close to RDR same day in the US and a week earlier here in the UKI believe? It also didn't have the wow factor that Max Payne did so it did get overlooked by many. I did get it on release day though, thrashed it and went straight on RDR
  29. Moody_Cloud's avatar
Cold War and Alan Wake for me! I actually think Cold War is better than MW2 and I regret selling it when I bought the latter. I've now sold MW2 because I just wasn't enjoying it, but I'm looking forward to playing a CoD game where even a casual like me has a chance to do well.

I've also never played Alan Wake, so this is a superb month for me
  30. bagelsaurus's avatar
Was going to buy Alan Wake, so this is a good month for me. I've heard really good things about Endling as well.

  38. RoivaZ's avatar
I almost bought Alan Wake Remastered on Xbox earlier this month when it was 9.99 but glad I didn't now...a PS5 replay will surely make a case for which console to get the sequel on
  39. YoshimiMac's avatar
I predicted Alan Wake would come to PS+ before the sequel launches. Looking forward to replaying it.

    Endling looks good.

    Couldn't care about CoD.

I’m happy with this. I own COD but nice to have games digital and I can trade in to CEX for £12 (voucher). Happy with the other 2 as well.
