Felt AR Advanced Ultegra Road Bike

The AR Advanced is the bike you need if speed inspires and delights you. Whether you are in the hunt for personal records, KOM or Segments, the AR is built to get you to your finish line. Not just faster but better in every way, the AR is designed with performance in mind. Felt built the AR from scratch, starting with a blank slate they took the performance data from the existing AR, knowing just how fast it is and that it remains a reference point for racers and much of the cycling industry. But, on top of this, Felt elevated the importance of ride quality and handling to ensure that the total package is simply the fastest and best aero road bike they have ever designed. The AR is a whopping 9% faster than the previous AR depending on the conditions!

Surely electronic gears for that price??

Still covid tax hanging around. Another 6-12 months and they’ll have to reduce them further

I think it's fair to emphasis this is a time trial bike, and not ideal for most average riders who want an all round road bike. Good deal though and heat.

    It’s not a time trial bike 🤦🏻‍♂️

    • Pedals: Not included
    • Why's that???
    • Surely we need pedals

Believe it or not the best way to package high end bikes is without pedals. Any included pedals would just get thrown away into landfill. (edited)

I don't think you will get any better for the price. The wheels alone would be £1000+. The 58mm deep rims might be a bit tricky in very strong crosswinds. It is less than half the price of a similar spec specialized and I think you would struggle to get the same price second hand for a similar spec.

And a bit on the heavy side looking at reviews.

It is also only 11 speed so quite old stock I guess.

You don’t really need more than 11 gears. Surely? I’ve never needed it anyway (edited)

For that price, I'd want someone to ride it for me too.

Can't really take a high end bike seriously if they stick disc brakes on it.

Deffo one for the "all the gear and no idea" crowd.
    George_Roper's avatar
I wouldn't want disc brakes on any pushbike.

nice, had an AR myself few years back super fast but abit too aggressive for me and im just not flexible enough very light tho and looks like a weapon

Lot of bike for the money. Aero bike so will be heavier they all are includes really decent wheels. I find 60mm a bit deep you might not want to use it on the windy days. I run a 45 and find that a decent compromise. Who cares about 12 speed same ranges as 11 so other than adding a ratio between gears doesn't really add much and this generation of ultegra is pretty bullet proof other than the occasional crankset failure.

They’ve hidden the motor very well. How far will it go on a charge?
