Got one at launch, the kayak game is all I’ve played apart from the free demos. Just not enough content available.

sorted by- What about gran turismo 7, horizon call of the mountain, resident evil village?
- It was pretty obvious this wasnt going to sell well lol...As of 24 may it sold over 600,000 units. It's sold pretty well. It sold more than the first PSVR set in it's first 6 weeks.
- If any of you guys get motion sickness playing the VR games like I do the motion sickness wrist bands from Poundland work a treatI don't get VR sickness myself, but apparently a fan can be a big help too.
- Needs better content but we all know thats never happening. Low budget potato looking indies only. Shame.Yeah, Resident 4, Firewall Ultra, Wanderer etc sure are 'low budget potato looking indies'..
- I realize this is the wrong audience, as everyone considering the PSVR2 is probably already invested in the Playstation ecosystem.... however.
For the price of the PSVR2 headset alone, you could completely jump ship to PC!
Buy a 2nd-hand Quest 2 (~£150), a decent spec 2nd-hand office PC (£100-150), and a 2nd-hand pascal-era GPU (again, £100-150).
With PCVR there's no worry about lack of content, or support, as you've got a *vast* catalogue of games, an open platform backed by many independent companies, and with bundles (Fanatical Et al.), and key resellers, you can flesh out your library for minimal expense.
Not trying to change anyone's minds, just food for thought. There is no way. 0 way. You will get a resonable pc vr experience for the cost of this.
A 100 to 150 budget for an office pc is a bloody awful pc. You can't just slip in a gpu without amending the power supply, the powersupply will need a new case...etc etc.
In pc land, you gain content and also gain headache. Unline psvr2, which will just work giving you one of the best vr experiences out of the box.
No comparison. - Compared to a PC vr this kit is worth over £1k easy. If you have not tried vr yet then this is a great step into it.
It's better quality than cartoon graphics with quest. It's like mobile game graphics to PC graphics.
Pavlov is basically call of duty in vr. The gun reload you do is slick.
Pistol whip is the game that gets everyone pumping and you feel like John wick. Everyone likes this the best.
Star wars tales from galaxy edge make you feel like a bounty hunter and han solo.
horizon vr game is a great experience too with the bow and arrow. You can walk around in the game and pick up loads of things and toss them about.
Do I need to mention about resident evil village vr.... - I got Currys to price match and can get an extra 6% off through work vouchers but haven't made up my mind yet, can't use discount code till tomorrow so will think about itYes they give you the code on live chat, I would copy the code and store it as when ending the live chat you get the option to have the transcript emailed but it never arrives
- the original made me feel awful for the next 24 hours. Have they done anything to this to stop the motion sickness problem? I thought I heard they were doing something about this issue. You can build up tolerance. Short plays, ten min max for a couple of weeks. Then 15 mins etc. Stop ideally before you feel any kind of sickness. Brain also associates the vr with it.
Play easier games with less motion at the start. Not GT!
Move you head and arms (if walking and running like). Make your body feel like you're actually moving.
Have a fan on nearby.
Heard ginger drinks are meant to be good.
Do all this and build it up. But sadly vr 2 still has motion sickness and just don't go straight to something like GT for an hour solid first go and feel really sick. Little steps. - [image]
Took the plunge, I play GT7 a lot and having used friends recently, I'm pleased to have my own.
I got Curry's to price match, then a bit extra off through work discount scheme, so paid around £450.
GT7 really is unbelievable 👌
(edited)Yeah it's worth it for GT7 alone. You'll never be quite satisfied playing a racer in 2D afterwards. It's just world's better in VR, and I'm talking using just a dualsense controller and not a racing wheel. - not got enough room for 2 VR headsets... still got games to play on VR1 that don't work on VR2. I would have switched due to better quality but non backwards compatibility killed the excitement for me. Maybe I'll pickup one when there's more decent content and it's down to about £200. Same with PS5... I wish I just kept my ps4 pro as 99% of games I've been playing are PS4 games. Barely played anything that's specific to PS5.. Company of heroes 3... and that could have easily came out on PS4 I recon. Yeah I feel this is the worst Gen for gaming so when you factor in the length of time the console has been out, the limited amount of content that's been released, it's often been unfinished and of poor quality, and the games have risen in cost, not to mention the expensive cost of the consoles and peripherals like VR. It's the worst time to be a gamer I feel. (edited)What is this an exerpt from your autobiography? (edited)
- I bought PSVR VR Worlds bundle in 2018 for £259. It came with camera & VR Worlds game.
My PS4 Pro is jailbroken and always has been so I have got value out of PSVR. I will say it has sit in its box for at least the past 3 years.
I would not buy PSVR2 at its current price and the amount of money you’d have to spend on VR games to “feel” like you’ve got your moneys worth is really not worth it.Same - simple as that, unfortunately - NO doubting the potential with this tech, Sony or 'other' - but this really is early days, so cost truly does count to win advocates - i am one, but this is my 2p 🤷 (edited) - VR is hard to sell until you try it.
Then you realise just how far technology has gone.
PSVR2 is hands down the best entry into high level VR for owners of a ps5.
The platform is young but there are already loads of great titles and August a huge month with green hell, X fire and other mega titles.
I love technology and VR is the future, but people don't realise the future is already here.
Extraordinary technology, incredible experiences.
Buy it if you can afford it. (edited) - People commenting on this without having one is ridiculous. Saying that a mobile phone like graphics VR is fine cos more titles? Do you really think that is the same as let's say Resident Evil? Only having the experience of playing RE, Moss and GT is worth the price.Ports can also be significantly better on PSVR2 as well, like Saints & Sinners 2.
- how have glasses wearers fared with this? I'd imagine there's either not enough space or it won't be comfortable in the slightest to try and keep them on when using it. Just deal with the strain I suppose lol? There's enough space, though I don't need to use mine in the headset.
There are also prescription lenses you can get.
honsvr.com/pro…es/ - Sad it doesn't allow 3D movie playbackAre you sure? Thought all VR videos were 3d
- Anyone tried watching 3D films on this?
it was excellent on PSVR 1On my PSVR1 it always slowly drifted sideways sadly - Going to need a bigger discount than this….
- Fantastic headset so much better than the first one. Some great games already out & lots on the way.Cheesy PR comment.
- Only £276 to go!
- That is a good discount. And there's no way that it's not a fair price considering the tech inside it. Problem is, neither of those things actually make it affordable, either. This! So much this. People laugh when they see the price and I try to explain what good value it represents. That doesn't make it affordable though. Wrong product, wrong time
- [deleted]I literally only want it for gran turismo. Did you get any motion sickness with it?
- You’ll use this for few hours then it’ll catch dustOr people will use it for hundreds of hours in GT7 alone. Not everyone has the same tastes as you. (edited)
- If you own a ps5 and can afford it buy this.
It is truly next gen mind-blowing technology
Thank me later - 7 of these or one Apple Vision Pro?Both or neither. Coz they are not the same thing.
- If only Sony release official PC support, it will be the best current VR headset in terms of value by farAgreed, feel like it should be a priority for them. They’d sell boat loads of these if it was fully pC compatible.
- Just to counter some of the naysayers who haven't used one, I've had mine since launch and as my first VR experience it's been excellent. The game library is decently vast now and there's plenty coming. The highlights for me so far are Horizon Call of the Mountain which looks wonderful and had a really impressive physics engine, and Walkabout Mini Golf which has full cross-platform multiplayer.
Hopefully some first-party game announcements are on the way as, much like the PS5 itself, that's what will pull people in and Sony have been rather quiet on that front so far. - Lol spend it on better things
- if it was PC compatible this would be selling like madDon't think Sony is making a profit on these. Tech is worth more than asking price (edited)
- Psvr2 is actually an excellent piece of kit with rave reviews. Very high oled rez screens, high hz, low latency. One of the best vr experiences out atm. The problem is that console gamers are generally cheap and see it as an accessory or peripheral. They should see it as essentially a TV replacement. If you stream content and have no friends, it beasts it.Maybe if Sony actually released good content for it more would bite!
They’ve been pretty daft with not making PSVR1 content compatible. - The fad has come and gone, not even developers are bothering with it anymore and Sony will not develop any AAA games for it now either.
I remember when VR came out in 2016 and all my friends bought it, then a few months later they were all selling it. It was that quick, I still have my Oculus Rift somewhere in the attic, I haven't touched it since. I look at the store and it's all the same games that are still popular lol. The last time I tried VR was randomly around some guys house and it was Half Life Alyx, now I loved HL and HL2, but Alyx was boring, it didn't even have melee.
I think PSVR2 will be £200 come next year and Sony will actively stop working on it.Does resident evil 4 remake not count then? - Never felt it was worth £529. Though it's still expensive at this deal price, it's a bit better. Been scouring ebay for a good deal, but was worried about warranty - no warranty issues with Amazon so might go for it.
- At the very least, they should have done upgraded versions of the top psvr1 games to start out with a padded up library because the content is quite lacking atm and nothing much announced either. I love my ps vita but sadly this is looking like Vita part 2I believe the lack of backwards comparability will be a big minus for anyone on the fence about buying one.
- I was underwhelmed when I first got mine as peripheral vision is blurred and distant objects are out of focus, but once I got my expectations aligned with what it can do I’m pretty happy with GT7, couldn’t play it without VR now! Not had a chance to try other games yet but having fun with this one.
I’ve tried all the adjustments and found others complaining about the same vision issues so I think it’s just a limitation but it’s leagues ahead of original PSVR. Just hope it gets superhot and some other OGs. - Fresnel lens VR should not cost more than £350.
- Had one at launch and then returned it as there is nothing to play and not a single exciting game announced. They have handled this so poorly but Jim Ryan is handling a lot of things poorly. How is there not a new Astro game announced, it was by far the best VR game i've played. I also found the 'sweet spot' to be way too small, the image was often blurry if you were playing a game where you need to move around a lot. (edited)
- Great Price for an Even greater Product, loads of fun games and at a cost that doesn’t break the bank , had this since launch and no retreats , Runner and Synth Riders are my favourite games , Synth Riders feels like a proper workout , planning on getting a couple of shooters soon too
- I wish they'd make Mortal Kombat 1 VR compatible! The Pit background
- £299 with a game bundle is where this should be as at the moment it is a Quest port machine with no first-party roadmap.
- If Amazon offered me payment option I'd be all over it, glad they don't0% credit cards do the same thing mate, get on it
- Whilst I don't have one, I did have the first PSVR and VR is a complete game changer, despite getting motion sickness after a while.
Anyone know if there's any plans to bring out deep sea/diving games? Recall playing Worlds and the shark encounter was absolutely incredibleWould love a PlayStation worlds 2.0. Shake encounter was incredible. But sadly nothing so far.
