Been looking for a wireless headset for my new PS5. Got the Turtle Beach Stealth 600 as I had them for my Xbox. Don't know whats up with them but they are not the same quality as the Xbox version. Issues include: power button rattles, volume dials are cheaper and nasty, and nowhere near as comfortable as the xbox version. Very strange. Anyway, got recommended these but was out of my price range until now. Great price!

Turtle Beach will be sent back to Amazon once i get these!

Arent these the older outdated version? The new version is called the Nova?
    Mark_Hickman's avatar
Yes but not much difference, although i have the nova 7x and they're fantastic and super comfy

If anyone is thinking of buying these purely for the PS5, I would advise looking at the Playstation Pulse Elites which are £30 more. Not tried these ones but had the 7P and the Pulse Elites are by far way better than those.

The playstation brand headsets, and the earbuds all connect with a USB-A dongle, which causes them to constantly disconnect. Just google pulse explore (or pulse elite) disconnecting and you will find dozens reports.

The PS5 earbuds were unusable at launch with people even filing lawsuits. 4 months later they released a software update which improved the connection problems, but not completely fixed.

Their own brand £200 earphones were broken at launch for 4 months...let that sink in. I would advise anyone to strongly research before buying the pulse series of headphones.

A good thing about these steelseries is they use a USB-C dongle which is higher powered and doesnt have anywhere near as many connection issues as a result. (edited)

Excellent headset, I have the Xbox branded ones of these and they work with absolutely everything

This version is compatible with PlayStation (and PC/Switch), there's another version, the 7X+ which is also Xbox compatible (so covers everything), but that's still £170ish. Good headphones either way. The headband you'll either like it or hate it (it's a bit wobbly on my head, bit I don't mind it).

Got a pair of the white ones in BF, the connectivity is over engineered but the are great for gaming and the battery life is really good

Don't buy from steelseries just read their policies

" Unfortunately, we cannot provide return labels for any customer who states their product is defective as in most cases, this is a simple issue or error that is fixable."

They can't provide a return because the customer is stupid and can't decide if a product is broken

Guessing they've experienced quite a few stupid customers.

    How good are these?
Looking to get a wireless headset to replace a trusty old wired Sennseiser PC363d for PC, which “had” a MSRP I think just under £200, but that was like 10years ago.

Would these have better or comparable sound?
    Adaks_'s avatar
They're not made to have excellent sound quality for music, they are suited towards gaming

How does this compare with the 7p for PS5? Is this version the older of the two?

    sound is very narrow.

Do these automatically switch to ps5 audio when turned on like the pulse headset does?
I have the razor blackshark v2 pro which has pretty good sound but I have to manually switch audio and mic every time i turn these on. Also would these be better or the same sound quality also? TIA
