Looks to be the game of the generation. This is actually worth the price for this game in particular.

Can we cancel the pre order if a cheaper deal is available later? (edited)

It’s Amazon. You can even play it for a month and still return it for a full refund.

As with most big games post-launch patches will likely improve the gaming experience. While I'm definitely tempted to play early, I think waiting may pay off.

Tbh, I'd agree normally , but Insomniac are normally bang on with their releases from day 1, especially with the 3 games they have released on PS5 so far.

I'm probably being a bit of a cheapskate, but I'd probably only bite day 1, if this was about £30-£40. Modern day gaming prices are a shambles. It's mad how many people think this is a good price, and are just ready to pre order anything they THINK will stack up. (edited)

You are right about pre ordering and it not being a great idea in general.

The price of gaming is incredibly good these days and we have had it good for a long time. Which is why you feel you are being ripped off now.
Here is an example for you. In the year 2000 I got N64 game No Mercy. It was £50. If you take into account inflation. That 50 today would be £90. 90 pounds. Let that sink in.

It's strange seeing Amazon the cheapest for a change

Technically you get £10 worth of bonus points ordering from TGC. So TGC is cheaper in the long run.

Best bet will be to wait on this one if you can, 2018's Spiderman was £29.99 in the Xmas sales which was 3 months after release.

What a time we live in; can't believe this is the price of games these days it's ridiculous. Thanks for sharing though 👊🏽

As usual comments filled up with people trying to shame others for spending their own money on things they want , at the end of the day this is site thats meant to help you find the game the cheapest , this seems to be the cheapest around for a pre order , good thing is its amazon so you ge the pre order price guarantee and if you find cheaper elsewhere on release then returns will be simple enough

    Boom. Ordered.

Prices are steep, but like most recent PS5 games. Buy on launch, play over a month (sometimes less), and get your sell order in to CEX early (you get 10 days to send it) and usually get 60-75% back. (edited)

NEVER pre-order games. Games companies need to learn to reduce prices.

Loved the first game and after thel State of Play last night I really thought it's about time I ordered this one, so thanks and good timing Amazon! If a better price comes along at least I know cancelling with them is super easy.

For me personally I think this is a decent price for a game of this size and quality. I'm looking forward to playing it, hope it lives up to the hype which I'm sure it will.
