    They closed jacuzzis in all their clubs and then had the gut to put prices up, all while virtue signalling about 'net zero' (yeah they really care about it...). Next they will close Sauna.
    No difference between them and a local council leisure centre.

    Thinking about joining when my David Lloyd contract ends, heard good things about the gym but people were saying the spa area is always shut

    I had a 10 day pass at Nuffield in Jan and decided to leave David Lloyd and join Nuffield; much better classes, better cardio equipment, customer service and cleaning standards.

    Nice. I have one near me, I was a member for a year and it absolutely was not worth it. It was horribly oversubscribed. If it was the same price as Pure gym, I’d consider it but right now I travel a long way extra to a pure gym for a better deal. Nuffield is 2-3x the price and barely better. Not to mention puregym has more equipment, not as busy when I go , 24/7, no broken water fountains (Nuffields said ‘sorry , I’m out of shape at the moment!’ The entire year I was there) - pathetic show.

    The gym chain is overpriced. The jacuzzi moans in this thread says a lot but that is but the tip of the iceberg. I’ll take a free week from them though!

    Oh wow you been to every nuffields have ya? The two I go to always have working water fountains. Never too busy. Always spaces on treadmills and weights. Towels, sandwich bar, drinks and snacks machines They lack boxing equipment. Decent showers, lots of lockers, only once seen a machine out of order for literally 1 day. Pools are clean. Steam room not that big but no issues (edited)

    I have Gympass too - was gutted when this jumped from £27 to £47.

    Covid really hit Gympass hard.

    Went today quick sign up though they would not give me a towel is it a thing that you now have to bring your own?. Otherwise pretty good experience Equipment is all modern they have water fountains and plenty of wipe down hand sanitiser for us OCD types (edited)

    Cancelled my membership when they decided to close all the Jacuzzis at all their gyms to help them "achieve Net Zero". It was the only motivator that made me go! 😝

    It's generally the novelty of having access to a pool/sauna/steam room at Nuffield centres.

    I'm a PureGym member and every gym I've visited is a decent quality gym, but there aren't any other facilities.

    Check your workplace, they have lots of companies which offer discounted rates (I'm one of them), benefit for me is it's only 5 minutes away, so hard to justify NOT going, and go spinning 3 times a week. Find it a nice place to go, but mine is one of the more basic, there are some really nice ones...

    Am somewhat impressed since my last visit years ago. They certainly have advanced with the times Good healthy vibe. Technogym equipment Origin kettlebells. Sauna steam room and pool all nice and warm!
