Just don't go by the calorie count on this bikes, it's way off. I really doubt I'm burning off 1350 in 40 mins on the GB50

That was a bargain mate.

I have this and the GB60. Both are good quality bikes and the 50 is worth £206 all day long, which is what I paid for it several years ago. I’m a keen mountain biker but I use this for winter training and I get a very decent workout!

I think the GB40s from Argos is different from the GB40 because in the description it states that the 40s has a 9kg flywheel. Looks pretty much the same as the GB50.

Thanks! Debating whether to go for a static bike or a hybrid/road bike and get a turbo trainer. Put in plenty of miles running but always injured so looking to substitute a bit of running for biking!

NordicTrack X22i Incline Trainer Treadmill £2,599 @ John Lewis & Partners
Posted 14th JanPosted 14th Jan
High level treadmill + not the cheapest. But super reviews everywhere, only 7 left in stock..

Good price if it's what you want. I spent half this amount on a Nordicross Elliptical and that's excellent quality so imagine this will be epic.

Ha, the discount as the price would be a deal (skeptical)

It's decent kit, but if you're an athlete, you'll go for the higher CHP motor in the 32i. Nothing better than having proper commercial grade equipment in your home gym.

Unless you are a sponsored runner or mo farah stick to a basic machine with incline and stick the radio on and save £2400

That's a LOT of month's of gym membership... and with the gym you'd get to use WAY more than just the 1 machine I get that you'd never own the machines at the gym yourself, but at say £40/month, that's over 5 YEARS worth of gym membership - and you don't need it all upfront either

Beast Gear Weight Lifting Straps - Professional with Gel Straps £7.97 Prime (+£4.99 Non Prime) @ Amazon / Andromache

Very well rated, and a good price for this particular brand of lifting straps with gel pads, as the cheapest I can spot elsewhere is £10.99 direct from the brand themselves. STR… Read more

Assume price down given Prince Andrew having his titles removed?

If buying the figure 8 you’re better off going for some that offer different lengths so you can have them fit properly

Figure of 8 gang checking in

£1 lower if one goes for the pink+black ones

They don't look in the least professional

Pro Fitness Multi Bench - £49.99 - Free click & collect @ Argos

Adjustable to six positions you can perform so many different weight exercises with just one multi-bench. Use it in classic flat and incline bench positions to perform a range of a… Read more

I was looking for a bench as purchased some weights early on but wanted one that could do multiple activities and not break the bank and found this one https://www.argos.co.uk/product/6217859?clickPR=plp:13:25 although out of stock to order managed to collect one locally. Gets good reviews and having built it up happy with quality for price at £89

The Mirafit FID Bench is a good pick as it's on offer for £128. The backrest is adjustable as is the seat. Rated to 300kg so should be enough for everyone apart the very serious lifters who are capable of benching 150+ kg. The Watson adjustable bench starts from £595 if money is no object. It's bombproof and will outlive you. Soon as my bench sees enough rust I'll probably invest in it. Again Faster sell a decent one for £275. If all you're interested in is hip thrusts though you personally don't need to spend alot. In fact, this bench will do for that. But I'd hope you do a variety of exercises so a half decent bench should be a key item in a home gym.

Can you recommend one please? I'd like to use it for leaning back on whilst doing hip thrusts. Thanks.

It turns out that even posting a comment starting "And before the "but everyone has to start somewhere" and "not everyone is trying to be Arnie" crowd appears..." isn't enough to stop that crowd from appearing.

Adjustable and Foldable Weight Bench - 200KG Capacity - £45.49 Using Code @ Songmics

At £45.49 delivered, this might be of interest to those wanting to workout from home. You can do quite a lot with a weight bench and this one folds up nice and neatly. Supports up … Read more

Its possibly 2 inches wider than my previous bench and would be fine for any exercise in my view.

Is it comfortable for bench press - it looks wide. Bargain for the price however.

Is it too wide to comfortably do bench / dumbell press with?

I've just received the bench in this image, actually quite impressed. It is quite low to the ground compared to others Ive used but it will do for me. That said I do heavier work at the gym so will be using this for lighter exercise, for that it will do just fine. Bargain at £30

Thank you!
