On your phone go into App Store and download Couch to 5k. Turquoise background, white letters except 5k which are in yellow. It’s free and is a 9 week course. Start with a 5 minute walk then run for a minute followed by a 90 second walk. The run and jog are repeated 4 times and then a 5 minute walk to finish. Do this 3 times a week with a rest day in between and that’s week one complete. You can pick your coach from several voices who tell you when to run/walk etc. I chose Michael Johnston ex world record runner. Good voice to listen to. Can’t imagine I would be taking Sarah Millican seriously. I downloaded the app last Sunday and did my first run on the Monday back of7 in the morning and was home at 8 with about 5,000 steps under my belt. Week 2 starts tomorrow. I went from couch to 10km on my first run. Didn't really have much choice, got lost. Amazing how long your muscle memory lasts though, my last run was probably 2 years ago
