Stain on a carpet

Morning all , looking for advice on maybe removing or at least making this stain look better. It was caused by a plug in air freshener so it’s some sort of oil . I have nowhere I can take a separate cut of carpet and do it that way so that’s out of the question. Thanks

Hey did you get it out yet ? Your best bet is to use something like Prochem Citrus Gel on a stain like that as it's a oil based stain. You don't need a carpet cleaner to remove it and to tell if it's a burn just rub your finger over it gently if it's brittle it's a burn but I'd bet money it wasn't. You can message me in private if you like for more help, but if I was on a call to do a job like that first thing I'd do is grab the citrus gel or something like ecopog.

If its oil just try some Fairy and water with a microfiber

also heard dry shampoo is good, as naturally this is used to absorb oil in the hair

Lots of different methods on Google. Blot it and then use Fairy Liquid or similar as suggested.

What's the carpet made of? If it's nylon or polypropylene it will just wash out, but be careful of drying extreme heat as it can melt the carpet. Tbh it looks more like a burn than a stain to me which would rule out the polypropylene.
    Good luck

I think your right it could be a burn , I think I’m flogging that dead horse.

As already mentioned, it looks like it might be a burn not a stain. In case it is actually a stain though, I recommend trying RugDoctor Oxy Power spray (and using a damp cloth to soak it in properly) as I’ve found it to be far better than alternatives I’ve tried. If it makes any progress then I would suggest using a decent carpet washer to finish the job
