American Fridge Freezer movement advice

I'm looking forward to buy a American fridge freezer, how do we get them through the front door? Any advice?

Also remember that unless you want it for style reasons or limited space you will always be better off with a separate fridge and freezer as all the American style fridge freezers tend to have narrow width compartments and are not very practical.

Never really found the narrow freezer to be an issue, boxes on shelves, bags in drawers.
However we've just changed to a french door style with freezer drawers like the one below and its soo much better

Mine was a git! Measure carefully, allow room for tilting, be prepared to fully unbox and remove handles (and doors!) to get it through. My doors all fit OK, it was the 90 degree turn between 2 that got us, took over an hour to move it.

I bought mine a few years ago from AO. I paid for them to remove doors. Was worth every penny when paying a lot of money for the item

    I second AO.
They really worked hard to deliver mine.
It was a tough job, narrow side way.

Remember that after all that moving, tilting, and swearing, to make sure you leave plenty of time for things to settle down before you plug it in, or it might not be long before you have to do it all again

They usually have removable doors and is fairly straightforward

Who removes it? is it the delivery guy or buyer has to do it?

Some time they can take it in from the back of the house, through large french doors, directly into open plan kitchen etc.

Marks electrical we used. They were great. They take them off for you. Be careful with measurements and tilt as mentioned already. I left a 1cm gap so they don't need to take it off, but they still took doors off as they said its easier. I would go for something that fits through without taking doors off, as when it's time for a new fridge it's just easier to take out. Also consider measuring where it's going inside. (edited)
