Quest 2 is the all-in-one system that sets you free to roam in VR. Simply put on the headset and enter fully immersive, imagination-defying worlds. A built-in battery, super-fast processor and high-resolution display keep your experience smooth and seamless, while 3D positional audio, hand tracking and haptic feedback make virtual worlds feel real. Meet, play and build communities with people from all over the world. Join quests, revolutionise your fitness regime, or collaborate with colleagues in innovative workspaces. And if you want to let friends and family into your VR experience, you can cast it to a compatible TV or screen as it unfolds*.

An incredible multi-sensory experience immerses you in cinematic, 3D positional audio through built-in speakers, while mind-blowing high-resolution graphics mean you see every detail of every virtual world, even when you’re moving at speed.

An integrated 10,000mAh battery giving up to three hours of gameplay or 10 hours of entertainment, combined with a comfort-driven design, lets you explore deeper and further for longer, every time you step into VR.

Intuitive Touch controllers transport your movements directly into VR. Explore over 1,000 titles by connecting your VR headset to a gaming-compatible computer with a Meta Quest Link cable (PC and cable sold separately). Share the experience with virtual social spaces, multiplayer gaming and virtual stadiums. Let others watch your performance by casting your VR experience to compatible TVs and other screens. There’s no end to what you can play, create and discover with Meta Quest 2.

Quest 2 requires your Facebook account to log in, so it’s easy to meet up with your friends in VR or discover communities around the world. Helpfully, you can choose to explore as yourself or by a new name, just by creating a unique VR profile.

Imo spend the extra and go for the Quest 3, vastly superior in every way and actually prefer mine to my psvr2

I am tempted, but I usually spend most of my time chatting in Bigscreen, so would be a waste I guess,
When the price falls I will get a Quest 3

Purchased, any recommendations on headset/battery combos?

So many to choose from, but bobovr has been good to me. Quality kit and simple to use spare batteries that's balance the headset

I put a list of free VR games and demos for Steam/Epic/Game Pass (PCVR) and Meta (towards the bottom of the original post) in this discussion:

Tempted as I missed the very £50 cashback and Argos £50 e-voucher deals. I suppose £30 for 2 year guarantee and delivery ain't bad but I still think there might be more £200 deals in January sales.......have left it in checkout for now to see if JL can offer some more sugar ☕

Same boat. Nearly pulled the trigger at £250 w/ £50 Amazon back but held fire as it's an expensive toy... Wonder if they'll drop even more next year if/when the 3 comes down perhaps. Have also waited in case the 3 is much much better as people have commented here.

I have recently opted for £250 directly from meta including £50 to spend on games/apps. That's £200 device plus £50 to spend.

Have you got a link to that offer?

Can the code be used on everything?

    Have you tried?

    Seems decent. Heat added.

missed the very deal for £200 but this is pretty good. You may get lucky and win credit back too with their Xmas scratch card promotion too

In the app it states that Apple products are excluded so it would be reasonable to assume it can be applied to anything else (£20 off £200 spend).

Does this come, with any games, preloaded?
    Any suggestions for some games?

Can anyone advise if I need anything else to link this up to Microsoft Flight Simulator on PC? Does it need extra cables or is everything in the box?

I appreciate the idea is to play quest specific games, but I'd also like to use it with MSFS.

    Thanks

Can anyone share any light on this £23 credit I keep reading about

HotUKDeals don't allow referral links in threads (I think?). (With help) I found a living breathing person I knew to refer me:
