Samsung S24 Ultra pre-launch voucher debacle

I didn't get the voucher even though I signed up using an email address used in previous Samsung purchases. So I tried to get one through online chat this morning. Almost 40 mins of useless back & forth after the chat started and I am told that I will only get the £50 discount, no case or screen protector. And that too as a goodwill gesture! Plus, to get this, I need to give my name, shipping address, phone number and email. Cherry on the cake - if I need a transcript of the chat, I should contact their Data Protection Office (fortunately, I quickly copied it) but the agent won't email it.

Are they out of their minds?

    Without doubt Samsung UK has the poorest customer service on the planet. Been fobbed off for 2 days now.

    Two observations:

    • if the OP text is accurate: the entity that is "out of their minds" would likely be any potential customer that was considering dealing with such an indicated shambles of an organisation.

    • If the subject shambles of an organisation is the UK retail arm of Shamdung then any not out of their minds potential customer needs to consider if they would be out of their minds to contract with a limited company that was two months away from being dissolved in December 2023.

    I received mine as a credit to my Samsung rewards not as a voucher code, never got the cover and screen protector unless it comes in the box, will find out on the 24th (edited)

    I called CS today because I hadn't received my £50 discount code. After finally getting through, she gave me a "goodwill gesture" of a £50 code. So then I ordered through the app (for the first time) to get another 5% / £60 off. Also code S24GW to get a free watch 6. Also £150 trade in for an old S9 I had kicking about. So all in, when taking into account the "free double storage", the 1TB S24 Ultra was about £1090, plus free watch, plus Disney+, plus £55 in Samsung credit towards a future purchase. Fairly happy with that. I'd only seen the free watch code on the app. No sign of it on the website or on HDUK.

    I signed up for their pre order discounts and haven't had an email or voucher off them in the Samsung shop either. Then again, I just received an order confirmation email from them for something I ordered on the 9th, and was delivered on the 10th. Something is seriously wrong with their email system..
