Can anyone tell me what are the main differences between this and the 3 and the 3s please? Or where I can compare them. Thank you

Micro USB charging on this, USB C on the 3, and the side buttons and side wheel are a bit nicer on the 3.

It's awesome. Just be warned it charges via micro-usb like in ancient times. A usb-c version exists but it is almost never on sale.

Just in case anyone not aware of the difference this is the Bluetooth only version and does not come with the Logitech Unifying receiver.
The "normal" version below (which usually drops to around £33 on Black Friday, Prime Day etc does come with the Unifying receiver
Logitech MX Master 2S Wireless Mouse with Flow Cross-Computer Control and File Sharing for PC and Mac, Grey : Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories

Therefore if you don't have Bluetooth you are going to have to add £10-£13 on top to purchase the Unifying receiver separatly.

Thanks. I nearly bought one as a backup, thinking it was the same as the one I've got 😬

I have one of these and a rip off version from Arteck. Not really the extra money.

I have two broken ones on my desk. Great while it lasts but the thumb button breaks too easily

You can easily fix it, had the same problem with my mx master. Lift silicon pads, unscrew the mouse and re-seat the rubber thingy inside, screw it back and you have working mouse again. Just be gentle when lifting sliders, you don't want to make them bumpy:)

Just got my mouse but didn't realise the "switcher" was on the bottom - what use is that?

Is there a button shortcut or keyboard shortcut that can flip to the next device does anyone know?
    iliyan.ivanov's avatar
Get their software, it allow you to switch between screens by simply moving to the border of the screen(all your devices act as one big screen) or the same but while you're holding ctrl(if you hate accidentally switching between screens). The switch on the bottom is just to initially pair the mouse to 3 devices, you need the software to use it on all at the same time.

I don't understand how people can state that this is a great mouse when the side buttons are so unergonomic. Overhyped IMHO.
    Raz23's avatar
side buttons are much improved on the 3S though

Some advice: if your mouse or keyboard breaks, and it's still under warranty, Logitech will replace it. You will have to go through a troubleshooting talk with their engineer. Having done IT support, I know exactly the hoops they'll put me through, so I preemptively tell them all the steps I've taken when we first chat – this saves me twenty minutes with the guy. I suggest going on chatgpt ask for troubleshooting steps if your mouse and keyboard are not working – it will provide you with a list, so you can do the same.

I always buy Logitech mice and keybaords and last one I got the £100 quid rollerball (mx ergo). Unfortunately after 4 months, the mouse pointer kept lagging (using dual screen TVs and monitors), and I tried everything, cleaning mouse contacts, cleaning the rollerball, updating windows, updating Logitech software I told the engineer, got a replacement. Then, when I received it, I had an epiphany – I figured out the solution. I uninstalled the Logitech software, and it worked.

Instead of connecting via the Logitech dongles I connect via Bluetooth. I don't map any of my keys on my keyboard ( K650), but I found a free software called x - mouse button control which allows me to map additional buttons on my mouse to various apps, like ChatGPT, type desk and viola. So now everything runs smoothly. I don't have to use their software, and I've got a brand new spare mouse to boot. (edited)

Do Logitech ask you to go through the usual shenanigans of destroying the old mouse and providing proof of it or do you simply send it the broken one back?

I sold maybe 30 of those buying from
Bezos was selling on eBay just for fun, a bit of scalping. They used to go down sub £30 in 2021. This time is long gone now.

Not one single buyer has every complaint. One told me his mouse was stolen at work too.

Think these are only micro usb and not usb C charge?

I have the 3s and want this as a spare. Tempting (edited)

Great Price for a darn good mouse!
  12. AshMcConnell's avatar
It's a great mouse, but micro-usb might put a few off
  13. Rob_B's avatar
Great mouse, micro USB not great but it doesn't need charged that often.
Back/forward buttons are an ergonomic nightmare though.

Thanks OP, let’s give it a go

I accidentally bought 2 of these last time it was this price (I think it was 41, but inflation). Before I could send it back, my wife took it. Great mouse, great price, great job OP

Agree on comments about side buttons placement, awful. Nice fitting mouse though. (edited)

I tried the 2S when I thought I'd lost my MX3. The two don't compare. If you need a mouse now then go for this, but if you can wait for a price drop for the MX3, definitely wait.

Great price for a great mouse. Always so tempted when a deal like this comes up but I'm still using my original MX Master and it simply refuses to die! Hopefully the 3S will be coming up at this price by the time it does!!

    A stonking mouse.
I've had mine a month a love it.

Don't buy if you have a high refresh rate monitor. Low polling rate.
    tedybarns890's avatar
You can adjust pointing rate in mouse settings in windows

I’ve got the 3s but I hate the scroll. It either barely moves or goes too fast. Dunno if I’m doing something wrong or that’s how it is. Using MacBook Pro and been in settings.
  25. deepu4w's avatar
I used it until my finger went inside the sidewall, ordered spare mouse.
  26. h1x's avatar
I can’t install any software on my work laptop. Will the extra buttons etc work with just the standard windows driver install
    plewis00's avatar
They have default settings that work without software (so side buttons can do back and forward, etc).
  27. plewis00's avatar
Got this a while back when it was on Business Pricing (think it was about £24) and forgot about it until recently when the Corsair M65 I was using broke (they always do that), it's far better than I thought it would be and arguably one of the best mice I've come across for general use and gaming. I think the only issue I could find is the software is a bit bloated and while you can adjust the speed/DPI, it's a scaled slider and doesn't appear to give you a DPI figure (that I could see), micro-USB charging as others said but needs charging so rarely, not that bothered (also using micro for Corsair Void charging so cable is clipped into the desk tidy).

    any good for gaming?

The vertical mx is the best. But price is steep. Can’t ever go back
