Their website has indeed left me very confused.. clicked through and their website says: ‘giffgaff newbie? You’ll need to buy a £10 plan (or more) to go with your shiny new phone.’‘ Doesn’t that mean you can’t just buy it outright? Sorry if I’m
    missing something. (edited)

Yes you will need to buy a plan to get the deal, however if you just purchase the £10 rolling sim rather than the contract then you can just cancel it as soon as you have it, you don’t have to use it, so your still buying the phone outright .

Is it network locked to GiffGaff or unlocked? Ie. Can you just use your old sim in it?
    al355's avatar

Can you still keep the interest free with Klarna if you cancel the £10 contract straight away?

£689 including 20gb data for month isn't bad. Just make sure to cancel the sim

120hz and this would be fantastic
    doppo666's avatar
Yeah £680 for a 60hz screen is madness in 2024, you can pick a pretty much new 14 pro from eBay for around that money, 120hz oled, better camera etc etc
I don’t understand why this is hot, these basic iPhones should be about £550 on release

Why is this deal not getting hot?
    hecatae's avatar
because giffgaff's storefront is confusing, it's not clear that you can purchase the phone upfront and outright.

Recently got the 13 Pro Max 256GB from GiffGaff for £500. Not sure whether to keep it or opt for this lol.

Does anyone know if it’s significantly better phone than the 13 Pro Max? Obviously is newer but not sure if the Max and bigger memory might just be better off.

It's a great discount for the latest iPhone but the Pixel 8 128GB could be had for £429 in December easily enough with readily available codes and £499 no code needed.

A link to pixel deal would be appreciated
