Like New
Like New devices aren’t brand new, but they're not far off. The only difference is that they may have some wear and tear and superficial scratches, but there’ll be no more than five deep scratches or chips up to 2mm in length. We'll make sure every device is loaded up with the latest operating system and rigorously tested before being re-packaged in an O2 box, for whoever gets in first. Plus, you'll get a 12 month warranty to put your mind at ease.

Does my device come with a charger and accessories?
We're always looking for ways to reduce waste. And as 70% of people already have a USB charger plug at home, we've decided not to include them with our Like New devices. Instead, they each come with just the USB charging cable, and iPhones also come with a sim pin. If you need a USB charger plug or headphones, you'll have the option to buy them after choosing your tariff.

How can a 'Like New' device 'have some wear and tear and superficial scratches, but there’ll be no more than five deep scratches or chips up to 2mm in length'???
If a device has any deep scratches, it isn't like new, is it?

Managed to get the original deal last week by phone up and complaining. Phone came in the morning on Monday and I returned as wasn’t happy with condition. Waste of time. I’m my own worst enemy.

Once you set up the phone, the battery health % is shown in the menu unders settings...
Also check the "about" area, you should be able to see if the phone is still under warranty and now ios report if the phone had a genuine battery or screen replacement...

I am not sure how you could actually test the cameras besides taking a few photos... (edited)

I asked a similar question when this deal popped up a couple of days ago.. Has anyone made the device plan to monthly payments and then cancelled the airtime(SIM) plan? (edited)

I collected the iPhone 14 pro max today from the Friday deal. The phone came in an O2 box with charging cable and pin. The phone is absolutely immaculate without a mark. I’ve phoned up today and cancelled the sim plan. Phone was paid in full so I have nothing outstanding with them now.

I ordered one from the Friday offer, but my order was sent for a review by credit department. (Note that I have good credit.) Then I got an email that the credit check has passed on Monday night and nothing since then. I just spent 1.5 hours in total on phone with O2 across many departments with conflicting replies. It somehow ended up that my order was automatically cancelled, and the sales kept trying to make new orders for me at full price. Eventually, they say no one at O2 can do anything with online orders, so I gave up at that point and hope that my order is properly cancelled. Enough to say I am not touching O2 again.

I had similar. I tried to cancel but I think if I just don’t confirm the contracts it should all cancel itself. I want my £530 back!

Mine came today , awful condition and 87% battery health. It's going straight back

I got mine from the Friday offer and it arrived in flawless condition with 99% battery health. So I believe it’s just a lucky dip on what you’re likely to receive as others have said theirs came with 100% battery health, whilst others have been sub par. Heat added, but Fridays was 💯

Wonder what the returns process is if you get unlucky with the condition. Another commenter on the other thread said you can’t just walk in to a shop to exchange it.

Mine arrived without a scratch and 100% battery

I have a sim only contract with o2 - Is it possible to "upgrade" to get this phone? Or best/cheapest to get a separate deal and cancel that new sim? (edited)
