AliExpress

Hiya

Just started using AliExpress for small non important items what I would normally buy of Amazon or eBay. Obviously these are imported, at what point does import tax become a factor? Is it the individual item, the individual order or an accumulation over time?

I know I should probably know this already but hey live on the wild side and all that.

Tax included up to total £135 for each order+p&p+ins value, so no additional fees for

Small non important items basically sums it up perfectly (otherwise known as a habit)

VAT is collected at point of sale on Aliexpress, for sites that don't collect see here: gov.uk/goo…uty

Yeah AliExpress now collect VAT at checkout - and report it on the order. UK Customs have a threshold at £135 - others have provided that detail. For me I usually buy lots of small value items - postage used to be free and things where a lot cheaper, but I guess there's not much you can do about that now.
