sorted byGuys I had one of these and it was absolutely atrocious and I recommend that you avoid it.
The thing only records when it detects movement, and it uses some BS "AI engine" to determine whether that movement is human or not and it tries to only record humans.
So you can configure the engine in such a way that it records smaller movements or configure it so that it tries to record humans only but neither of these work to any standard. If you configure it for smaller movements it will record hundreds of videos of trees blowing in the wind. If you configure it for humans only it seems completely confused as to what a human is, and I had endless videos and mobile notifications for cars, trees, it seemed particularly confused by the chimney on the house opposite and would record a "human alert" every minute as the chimney was, of course, always there.
On top of all that, the reason why we got this thing in the first place is because our neighbour was being threatening to us, and eventually the neighbour decided to kick our front door in and was standing outside our house threatening to kill us and the Eufy didn't record it at all! And there's no way to get that footage, there's no way to set it to "always record", just useless! Crap!
We replaced it with an Amcrest now and pipe that RSTP stream straight to our Frigate DVR.
Also there's an incredible lag on the audio stream when you're actually responding to the doorbell and the recording from the doorbell sounds so awful on your phone it was actually impossible to communicate with the delivery drivers or whoever was at the door at all. And we had great WiFi, with an access point basically on the other side of the door and it struggled so much.

I wouldn’t use their products if they were free.

If you're not wired up you can use a plug in transformer.
I had an issue with the doorbell giving random ringing sometimes without anyone pushing the button. I thought it was the doorbell being faulty and Eufy replaced it with warranty. The issue still exists in the new doorbell but I managed to find it was caused by the transformer that hardwired to my door bell. (edited)
App on my iPhone works nice to, And when I am not home and someone knocks I am able to speak with them without issue, However there is about 1-2 second delay when speaking this way but overall very happy with it….
For those who have had issues there are many detention strengths in the settings on the app… as said before it took some tweaking to find the right balance for what I wanted.
Only thing I would say is if you are getting cameras buy wired ones. We had to return the Eufy cameras they were a pain to charge and kept dying..they didn't want to return them too customer service was rubbish think we got 80% money back. Hope that helps.
It WILL break.
I've had one of these for a few years and they kind of seem pointless to me. I don't ever look at at notifcation on my phone when I get one which is only set to notify me if the doorbell is pressed as all my packages are left on the doorstep. There has been times where it's ran out of battery for weeks at a time and I have not charged it.
I thought it would be super helpful but it just seems a bit of a gimmick from my prospective. (edited)

Please can someone explain:
1) "Existing doorbell wires required?" - can one not simply connect the supplied power adapter to it to make it work or does one need to connect the Chime to it via wires somehow as well?
2) Does the supplied chime also need to be plugged in or is it via battery?
3) Can I use Amazon Echo, Show & Fire Tablets for the Chime function as in the Ring Doorbells?
Many Thanks!
