The Vitrex Tile Spacers are an easy way to achieve a more professional finish and allows for an even 2mm grout line throughout by spacing wall and floor tiles evenly.

Product details
  • Thickness: 2 mm
  • Pack Quantity: 3000
  • Type: Tile Spacer
  • Brand Name: Vitrex
  • Range Description: Tile Spacers

Features & benefits
  • 2mm tile spacers help achieve an even grout line
  • Suitable to use with Wickes floor and wall tiles
  • Simply place a cross section at each corner of the tile and position the next tile alongside
  • At edges and corners, use a T or L section by removing individual legs
  • Once the tile adhesive has set, the spacers may be left in place and grouted over or removed and re-used.
  • 3000 spacers supplied in a resealable bag for easy and convenient storage
  • For easy removal, use spacers vertically in traditional tombstone-style
  • User Tips: 1. Apply adhesive with a notched edge spreader and secure tile firmly. 2. Position one spacer at each corner, adding more spacers as each new tile is placed alongside. 3. Tiles must be left to set for 24 hours before grouting. 4. Spacers used this way are normally left in place and grouted over. 5. Alternatively, spacers can also be used in a “tombstone style” along the edges of deeper tiles and removed prior to grouting.

Do you remove the spacers once the tile adhesive is dried?

Or do you just leave the spacers in there and grout over them?

When used as pegs, remove them when the adhesive has dried enough to not slip when you remove them.
When used as crossed, leave them in, just make sure they're pushed towards the wall so there's a decent amount of grout.

Just beware that these are not actually 2mm, more like 1.5mm. But at least they come in a tub. Because of where they are made, accuracy isn’t their first priority, it’s cutting corners

What do you recommend? I was tempted, but price over function... rather pay extra and have a good finish. Never tiled before, but I'm planning very soon! (DIY bathroom/wetroom)

Or do as the previous owners of our house did. Just butt the tiles up together and smear grout as best you can.
It explained the ceiling bowing 12 inches in the living room.

When I picked these up, there looked like only a tiny amount of spacers in a massive box.
Was that the same for everyone else?
