We'll send some seeds to the first two thousand people to submit this form, to grow their own little crops. We're really sorry if you're not speedy enough this time.

Don't worry, we won't use your details for anything else unless you ask us to.

terms and conditions in a coconut shell

To enter, fill out all the fields on the form just down there. Don’t forget to submit it by clicking ‘ready, steady, grow’.

Stick to one submission per address to give other people a chance.

We have two thousand seed packets to give away, which means availability is limited and demand might exceed supply. We’re really sorry if you’re not in luck this time.

We'll send the seeds on a first come, first served basis.

The giveaway opens at 23:59 on Sunday 3rd March 2024, and closes at 23:59 on Monday 18th March, or whenever seeds run out - whichever happens first. No forms will be accepted after that, even if you ask nicely.

Sign-up is open to anyone over the age of 18 in the United Kingdom.

You can find the full terms and conditions at the bottom of the page.

Normally buy the "Finest" on the vine tomatoes from tesco just for the seeds when it's on final reduction at 8pm.

One of the easiest plants to grow. Just got to protect it from strong winds. (edited)

'if you're one of the lucky 2000 your seeds will be with you soon'

Pot luck then, otherwise they'd close the offer once the 2000 is reached - data harvesting at its finest!

Or ... Just scrape up some seeds next time you chop up a tomato? I recommend sundream, they always propagate.

A lot of tomatoes grown for supermarkets these days are F1s and either won't come true from seed or won't grow very well. If you're after a specific variety that will grow strongly, you are much better off getting a packet of seeds from a reputable supplier like Chiltern or Premier Seeds Direct. However, I can't see anything about which variety these free seeds are so who knows - try the ones from your existing tomatoes and see what happens!
