Not as good as the recent deal for a 3-pack, but still a good deal I think. 83p/can sounds decent. If you don't have prime or can't reach £25 to get free shipping it might be worth checking whether there's free collection.

There's an even sweeter deal on the same page
12 x 400g Mutti baby tomatoes (hence sweeter deal )
have a 50% off voucher if buying them on S&S making them £9.17!
(plus that may help people unlock larger savings on their other S&S items)

Not trying to hijack your deal which I've voted hot, just making people aware of what's also available.

    Ive grabbed a pack.
Never used this type of mutti before (I prefer the pulpa) but good reviews and great price. (edited)

I got the organic version a few weeks ago using a similar offer but the best before was Aug 2024, seems they are offloading short dated stock

Me too, but didn’t check the date on the cans, thanks for the heads up UPDATE - just had a look and they are September 2025, so mine aren’t particularly short dated…will be gone long before then (edited)

Last time I ordered these from Amazon they turned up dented, some badly so. Beware eating the contents of dented tins as they can be unsafe if the tin or plastic coating has been broken.

I'm unsure how good they are. I purchased from farmfoods yesterday, currently on offer nationwide , 4 tins for £1 both chopped and plum.

What did you buy though? It certainly wasn't this product, or anything comparable.

Might be ok for the use you are putting them to, of course.

Any one have any quick recipes ideas for using these? I typically use for Bolognese and cooking stews. Sure there are more uses that I am missing out on

There's a really quick and simple tomato sauce for pasta that we make which is great with those since they don't need much to be tasty.

Just heat some oil, put a couple of garlic cloves, after a minute add a can or two of these tomatoes, and let it simmer in very low heat until it's not very watery (just be careful because it might splash a lot even in low heat and boiling tomato sauce burns like a ***). You can add basil or any other herb (oregano, thyme) you fancy and you can serve it on pasta with some mozzarella and/or parmigiano. (edited)

For the idiots and uneducated (me) - what is the difference between these (this brand) and cheaper tins? There must be something but I really don't know

(Coming from someone who can't tell the difference between brands of baked beans, spaghetti, marmite, hobnobs, coffee....!)
