    I suggest reading Bullsh*t Jobs by David Graeber instead. It provides a more apt description of the modern workplace and the so called "managers" that can be found in it.

    Managing and leading are entirely different things in my opinion. Leading is more motivating people to act to achieve a shared goal from whatever arbitrary workplace position you've been lumbered with. It isn't normally the managers motivating anyone and managers rarely get to where they are through skill. (edited)
