"Customers are prohibited to modify the machine BIOS system, if you modify the BIOS yourself, we do not support after-sales !!!! (This is a very important statement!!!)"

    Odd warning.
    majorwedgy666's avatar
Yeah, more than a little concerned it may have spyware which I will be correcting as soon as I receive it. Bare in mind it basically has no warranty anyway
  3. Grazz0r's avatar
No warranty, no protection, nothing. No reviews from third party websites. Windows isn't even activated. A huge risk buying this- and for almost £500. Refurbished gaming laptops can be bought for similar prices.

Probably not UK keyboard which feels like a bit of a deal breaker for a laptop imo

Would this be considered an upgrade for me? I have a laptop with an rx6600m and a Ryzen 7 5800h
    Dan_the_man28's avatar
GPU wise the 3070 is slightly better than the 6600m but probably not to the point you'd notice in games, CPU wise you'd be taking a slight down grade over your 5800h

It’s really good price for the spec but this is it as rest is a big question mark. Custom/duty, using desktop CPU, weight and temp, in absence of reviews, is a bit too much to risk. People in reviews referred to the machine been used already is also a possibility. Give it a miss (edited)

    Now this is a gamble!

Be prepared for import tax. Could turn a £470 laptop into a £600 one. And at that price, you should seriously be looking at getting a reptable one without any warrenty issues or preinstalled (possibly irremovable) spy crap.

Knowing China's latest laws on criticism, is it really worth it?

This one has much more powerful graphics though?

Reading the specs it looks like the CPU is a i5 11400. Looks like there running a desktop CPU in a laptop config interesting combobonation. What's concerning to me from reading the review section someone took apart the laptop as they noticed the GPU was thermal throtteling was hitting 87c. Apparently the thermal pads and thermal paste was not making contact with GPU. Once they replaced it the GPU was now running 20c- cooler.

I think if your not afraid of opening the laptop and applying new thermal paste to the laptop. That's not bad though considering the price of this laptop.
  13. Willy_Wonka's avatar
Why name your brand after something that will crash and burn?
  14. Jonnyblock's avatar
Great specs. Would worry that it would cause a fire(bat) in my house though ;-)

    is the screen any good?

100% sRGB and then in those pictures it’s 72% NTSC, is it the same thing?
    cactusjack's avatar
Yes it is. That's actually quite a suprise at this price point. I hope the thermals are good on this machine and if they are, it is an absolute bargain.

It's a gaming laptop with a high spec CPU and GPU. To be expected.
  17. TheStill's avatar
I hope nobody expects battery life out of this thing with that 65W desktop CPU.

Also anyone doubting whether this has a dodgy version of windows should note this.

  26. carladdison21's avatar
Will this play all modern games at a decent standard
    Maratain's avatar
Assuming it has the components it states and doesn’t overheat it will run any game just fine.
  27. Scouse95's avatar
I cant find any reviews for this online which considering its a 2 year old laptop is concerning specs look good but its a risk

I regret building my own PC, originally for gaming, but as I only do occasional gaming, having a big bulky tower which uses much more power than a gaming laptop was not necessary at all.

Would it be worth replacing the PC with a gaming laptop? The only thing that I think I need to worry about is storage space, but I guess that can easily be resolved by purchasing/creating a NAS, which can also give access to media for the whole family. What do you think?
    dark_shadow's avatar
I did exactly this. My desktop was using 350w more than my gaming laptop. I'm sure that would pay a large amount off itself considering it's all day
