Great reduction on the Ferrex Pro 40V brushless combi drill. Obviously no battery or charge with these units. Shelf edge showing £14.99 but goes through the till at £4.99 Hopefully national as I've posted a couple of Aldi reductions previously and other members have confirmed the same reduced price in their local. I wouldn't suggest going out of your way to try and find these - more like if you're in your local shopping anyway and they have stock (@ £14.99) get someone to check the price!

Just bought in Whitburn for £3.75. Shelf
Edge label said it was £3.75. There were 3 more left but were scattered on various shelves.

Any batteries in Whitburn store? Tempted by this but only got one battery across a few Ferrex tools and no batteries when last checked in Broxburn or Livingston north or Bathgate.

Edit: unfortunately none left this morning and no batteries. They had the brushed version for £14.99.
At least got some Xmas food bargains. (edited)

They have these in our local, £14.99 and brushless impact drills (not priced). Chargers £16. 99 but no batteries in any stores at all nearby.
    Check tomorrow

Batteries on hedge end store yesterday but no chargers

They had 6 of the pro version in the Seaton store this evening. The label was for £4.99.

They also had the non-pro version for £14.99. They had chargers and batteries in stock, but these weren't reduced.

Pro version (brushless) £10.99 today in Towcester.
Seems pretty sound, if a bit enthusiastic!
Don't forget this is hammer drill.
I'm told the torque limiter for screwing is extremly enthusiastic....

If only I could find a battery.

I've just learnt that pretty much every shop keeps some batteries but don't put them in the aisle as they are getting stolen... you need to ask staff to bring from inside

The "Pro" was £60 on Aldi's website earlier this year.

60Nm is a decent amount of torque.

Pro (40V) version is reduced to £3.75 in my local ALDI, crazy, ....why didn't I just buy 2

Damn I feel like I have been ripped off.... I paid £9.09 for one today

Edit.... just realised this is the drill not the impact driver, the impact driver I got today was a Pro 20v version. They had one left, plenty of batteries and chargers in Aylesford, Kent.

Good solid impact driver, I also have an Aldi Workzone Titanium Impact drive that I have had for years, still works well but has lesser specs than this one.
However, the start speed of this one is far too high... it's difficult to get a smooth gradual start on a screw head, unlike the Workzone which is more controlled. For £9 it's a bargain, for a fiver they may as well just give it away. (edited)

I’ve got the standard one which I bought for £14.99. It sure how much better these are and if it’s worth upgrading. Would appreciate some advise? TIA

Most stores currently sell the brushless model for £15, if you find one buy it as a spare. I do you can find one for £5, buy 2 as spares.

    was there any left mate?

    - 1 was left after I got mine (you can see it top right in the second picture) - left hand side of the middle aisle looking from the front of the store. Can't guarantee it will be there now but they may have more outback.

As a side note these will need the 5Ah battery's by the way.

I was waiting for the first comment like this.

I posted this lateish in the day so people will not of had a proper chance to check the price of any stores with stock showing @ £14.99 probably till tomorrow. If only a few people manage to get them at this price in their local then I'd still class it as doing my bit for the site

Here's a previous example of members managing to get an item shelf edged labelled at one price & going through at a lower price -

If they have reduced to £4.99 why is it not on the shelf?how would people even know.
Separately Charger + battery is approx £34 ?
I had seen some unknown brand on Amazon with battery/charger for £16 was thinking if that's equally good.
    kalico's avatar
No, it will not be as good. These cheap-ish power tools from Aldi are actually pretty good. For the money, you can't beat them.

20/40v Battery was in Sunderland for £30 and charger was 15 from memory
  14. Stormpooper's avatar
Didn't have them in my local last night, they did however have the non pro version for £14.99.
    SavageGizmo's avatar
Also had the non-pro version for £14.99 in our local with a 50% off sticker on the box.
  15. CrazyPogo's avatar
Paid 9.99 last week, still not got a battery for it
    endgame123's avatar
Did you check with the store colleague?
  16. endgame123's avatar
Did anyone else got for £4.99 ? Or was it just one place ,one item ?
  17. Altwo's avatar
seems computer mistake as someone might put 4.99 instead of 14.99 in that store. otherwise there would be at least a label showing the new reduced price

Been to my local and the traffic is so bad, not sure why I took the detour. Wild goose chase 🤦

You did read the deal post right? Especially the part - "I wouldn't suggest going out of your way to try and find these'

And concluding with 'more like if you're in your local shopping anyway'
  19. Geoff_Ford's avatar
So do they have the batteries for these as stated earlier In the back storage (edited)
