    Good price.

I prefer the Climber (same toolset but corkscrew instead of Phillips screwdriver) or huntsman. You would expect that the screwdriver would be more useful, but I find it unwieldy in use, with the handle often getting in the way, in which case I revert to the can opener or bottle opener. The corkscrew, on the other hand, is really useful for picking open knots and can hold one of the smaller Victorinox screwdrivers, which are very useful indeed.

If you want a Phillips screwdriver on a Victorinox knife, you are best going for a
model with the screwdriver aligned with the handle of the knife in use (explorer, huntsman lite, Swiss champ).

Probably get arrested in Scotland for using that term now.

Oooh topical. Actually only if you are using it in an abusive manner.

I have used Victorinox SA knives for 40 years and they are certainly reliable. But now they are north of £20 I had a look at alternatives. I liked this VW Bus alternative for £12.75! Scissors, corkscrew, can opener, small and large knife... enough for me as I have never taken stones out of horses' hooves....

Would go for this if it was a reasonable delivery time.

Save up some more pennies and get an Alox SAK.
The blades are thicker and they are just so much better generally.

I bought this exact same knife in 2004 from an expensive-ish shop in town for about £17. The tweezers and toothpick have gone walkies, scissor handle got bent and partly snapped off but everything else is still intact. Just had to give it a lubrication a few years ago and the knives all still open smoothly and are still sharp. This is truly the definition of durable considering I had it for 2 full decades.

Lifetime guarantee on these, so they will give you the choice of replace or repair.

What? no saw or corkscrew! Huntsman all the way

Strange isn't it, I bought this because it has the the Philips screwdriver and not a corkscrew, which I had on my previous one. I've never used a corkscrew, but a screwdriver is always handy.
I use scissors and a small blade to open all the Amazon parcels I get buying "bargains " off here!

I remember as a kid seeing these go round in a spinning glass cases in shops. Are these these 'best brand' of pen Knifes?

They used to be bit are becoming a bit more of a lifestyle brand these days. Others like Leatherman are probably making better tools these days but these are still classics.

Q: This or a Huntsman as a gift for a teenager? What's the difference? Thanks.

Just tried to get this on Amazon and got age verification. Full details: DOB, name, address. Reading through the terms, Amazon shares data with Experian and Experian will retain the personal data. I hate those data breaches with a third parties. That a lot of privacy traded just for a pen knife. Shame on Amazon as they just broke the deal for me. I will have to purchase at a local shop then.
