Are these good for this price point?
I am thinking good in the office when in break out areas and trying to show others items in my laptop screen, such as a spreadsheet or presentation. At my desk all good with a large monitor.

Probably not great for showing more than one or two people max. It's only 15.6". If you mirrored your laptop screen, I guess you could show a few more people across a break out area.

I've got an Electriq one of the same size (4K model). It's handy as a second or supplementary screen, but wouldn't really say it would do much in terms of being something for collaboration.

    For £45 though, it's a no-brainer. (edited)

not bad pricing but 45% NTSC is pretty low so don't expect bright vivid colour on this.

If you go through (and have) coins then you can get it to sub £38 paying in USD

Is this CE or UKCA certified, Lots of brown box stuff from Aliexpress is not and shouldn't be on here if it's not.
  5. babylon's avatar
So, Would the Admin know if this is CE certified considering this deal is HUKD approved, Need to know as will be using in a business environment.

I had a deal for a product on Aliexpress that was deleted because I was told it had no CE mark.

'Hi, your item does not prove nor show anything regarding being a genuine licensed item, so would be removed for this reason'

    I also got this.
Hi, please could you send over the proof that they hold the relevant licenses,

The best way to send us an image is to upload it from your device to an online image host such as: imgbox.com/

We can't view images directly, so you will need to copy the uploaded image link back into a message reply to us.

So here I am asking if a product endorsed by HUKD and posted by the deal editor which comes in a plain brown box has CE certification, And I get nothing.

    Are you surprised?

Not anymore, I've been member here since it's inception some 18 or 19 years ago, I've had more so called polite message or friendly reminders, Deleted posts and comments in the last year than the whole of my previous 18, Had my first 24hr ban the other day.
I'm actually surprised this has gone this far without being deleted.

    great price

anything like this with a usb-a port so I could plug in there a logitech received? Thinking that that, with a logitek k400 would be great for troubleshooting stuff in the cupboard network rack, etc. Would need some sort of USB-C to hdmi/usb-a data/usb-a power, but I've seen those exist
    ws007's avatar
    ?
bit confused by your question, there would be no point in this having USB-A ports as this is a MONITOR, not a tablet or PC.

Lets see if Aliexpress can screw this delivery up.
Last 2 never left and they just credit and said re-order.

Anyway this will be useful on the Rasp Pi's and save can leave my touch version doing what it's there for.

anyone know if you can mirror your phone to this wirelessly? looking for a screen to watch the football on in the kitchen and just play it from my phone and watch it on here

Wirelessly? 100% no. The closest to that is a Chromecast compatible device you connect to the screen. If this is the main purpose you could think about a google hub instead. If you have iPhone, well... It's a different story. (edited)

Can anyone that got one of these tell me what happens when you plug power in to it?

Mine just arrived and when I plug it in the monitor makes a clicking sound but nothing comes up on the screen at all, does yours show a logo or anything?

Plugged my Mac in and it seems to detect it as a monitor, green LED lights up on monitor but still nothing shows on it
    Bravo307's avatar
Mine just arrived too and it’s working perfectly. My Mac is 10 years old so have connected mini HDMI and powered the screen from the Macs USB port.

For anyone wondering this comes with a Euro USB plug but who in this day and age doesn’t have a spare plug laying around.

Screen quality is pretty sharp, brightness nothing to write home about but more than capable of being a decent 2nd screen whilst on the move.
