Dyson hairdryer

Wife got one a few years ago and she finds it cuts out every time she uses it despite cleaning the filters.

Dyson support want £90 to look at it!

Never had issues with other brands costing a lot less, do that's a poor show from Dyson in my opinion

Anyone else come across this?

Clean fuse in plug. Make sure its sitting tight in the jaws. You can bend in a bit.

Bit of a punt but worth a try.

Fuse terminal corridors and can play up cutting power.

Other thing you can try is a can of air and blow the cobwebs out hairdryer (edited)

I bought a shark hair dryer a few months ago and I find that when I turn it off during use and then turn it on again after a couple of minutes, it doesn't turn on, so I have to switch the button to off and then to on again. It seems that when you turn it off, it takes a bit of time to recover before it will turn on again. It means you can't constantly turn it on and off during use.

It may be that the dryer cuts out because it gets too hot as the fail safe mechanism kicks in. This happens to the Dyson hoover.
