Features of the Dyson Supersonic

• Motor

  The Dyson Digital Motor V9 is discreetly housed in the handle of the dryer. Air is sucked in through the filter located at the bottom of the handle and expelled through narrow vents surrounding the dryer's circular head. It is anything but discreet in power, drying hair six times faster than the average hairdryer.

• Weight

  By moving the motor into the handle, Dyson has made the Supersonic lighter than its competitors (0.659kg). This makes drying hair easier while reducing arm ache.

• Intelligent Heat Control

  Too much heat can damage hair, but the heat of the Dyson Supersonic is controlled intelligently. It measures the air temperature and regulates the heat more than 40 times a second, leaving every strand of hair undamaged. Undamaged hair reflects light in one direction only, making it appear shinier than ever.

• Heat Settings

  Four heat settings let you style your hair as you want it without damaging a single strand. 100°C gives fast drying and styling, use 80°C for regular drying and 60°C for cooler drying and diffusing. The 28°C Constant Cold setting helps set your hair after styling.

• Speed Setting

  Three speed settings - high, medium and low - keep your hair under control no matter how fine or thick it is.

• Efficient Filter

  The filter in the Dyson Supersonic is designed to cope with every type of hair and keep the dryer working efficiently day after day. To maintain airflow power, the filter should be cleaned of hair products, hair, dust and lint at least once a month.

• Attachments and Accessories

  The attachments and accessories vary slightly from model to model with the higher price range hairdryers having more accessories. The basic accessories included with most models are a presentation case, a styling concentrator nozzle, a diffuser, a smoothing nozzle, a gentle air attachment and a non-slip heat mat. Other accessories can be bought separately.

• Cable Length

  A generous 2.8 metres of cable ensure you can always reach the mirror without getting tangled up.

• Colours

  There are five editions of the Supersonic, each with its own snazzy colour. Pick from bold Iron/Fuschia or Fuschia/Nickel, sophisticated Black/Nickel, elegant Copper/Silver or super-luxurious Blue/23.75 Karat Gold.
