Dyson told me the supersonic dryer is 3 times stronger than the one with the airwrap. Spent too long deciding on airwrap and missed it, hopefully they will do it again sometime soon.

Thank you. I'm indecisive now. Bought the airwrap and waiting it being delivered. now wondering which one I'd be better off with

Seems expensive for a second hand hairdryer you can get this one Braun HD130 for £21 on amazon and it gets 4.3/5

Much appreciated, been waiting for a deal like this. As someone with curly hair that takes 24hrs to air dry ignore all the comments - this will save me a ton of time and a lot of heat damage

Get a grip woman ! That's hardly Dysons fault is it !

Complete nonsense. It's not an exclusive contract, in fact it's not even a contract until the products are medically cleared for use. They've designed and built a new model in under 2 weeks. They didn't just gave plans lying around for a laugh. Get a grip. Also how is government supporting anyone?!

Yeah you're right it's not like they didn't completely change the vacuum market. So they charge more than you like, so what?! Keep buying rip offs from China then. The fact they're imitated must show you something?! Also, what markup do you think the Chinese models have?! Their car market I don't know enough about, so can't comment, but it's ridiculous to judge an entire company on one venture

£270 for a haordryer Even if it was so quick at drying it took a millisecond it won't be worth it

What is the name?

Mate come on.. Just Google the term Xiaomi dreame and literally nothing on the first page of links says anything other than vacuum cleaner. Bit of a dumb idea to give the vacuum and hair dryer the same name then, imo.

A few questions if anyone has experience of this hairdryer: Can it used to straighten hair? Can it be used to curl hair? Do I have to purchase additional components for straightening, curling or styling? Or I need something else like the air wrap? Many thanks and heat for the deal.

My hairdresser uses these waste of time after blowing away for 10 minutes the hair is still wet and my.hair is only.a short bob length. I think its another case of an.exprnsive item being perceived as superior did not work for me

Make sure you register this device if you have one.i bought one from Boots Oxford Street London and it was a fake.I took it back and they refunded me and registered my device in store

Got the missus one of these a couple of xmas's back, she thinks its fantastic. Also seems to be able to get ready much quicker now, coincides with what a few other members have said about it being far quicker. Genuinely surprised how quiet it it as well Yup fully agree haha I posted this back when it was £10 back for every 50 and it still went cold, heat added :) Ill also add we have other dyson products and their warranties when needed have been impeccable

Dyson Supersonic Gift Edition (contains display stand) - John Lewis & Partners in-store deal, Solihull
Dyson supersonic including display stand in-store deal only

Just been in none in stock

No problem I'll probably drop in to have a look, was it just the 1?

We got one in-store in Solihull yesterday. I'm not sure about online, sorry.

Sorry just to confirm they had the gift edition pack in stock? I've been trying to buy one and it only shows 1 in stock on the site but their online stock seems pretty inaccurate as other shops who are shown as having them don't.

Thanks. I didn't realise this was already a "deal" in December as no-one had posted it on HUKD. When the John Lewis staff told us that the stand was included "for free" for a limited time, I assumed it to be a new deal.

Not for everyone, but needed summat for the missus and I've been set on getting her one of these, but they never seem to be on offer, so £269.99 seems a good deal to me.

Damn I added this to my basket this morning with voucher applied and it has now expired :(

I can't believe you feel the need to explain yourself, my wife is similar.

Great savings and available on 6 interest-free monthly installments - costing only £45.83 per month!

I placed an order for this with the split-6 selected however, haven't been charged, no order confirmation email and on my account it says I've payed the whole £270 for it..! Does anyone split payments and use QVC? Does it just take a while for the purchase to go through?

If you are actually interested in this (not here to pass comment either way), it might be worth knowing that Dyson are selling their usual colours on their own site, but with an included display stand (which holds the nozzles/diffuser and the hair dryer itself) for £299. The include display stand retails for £65. Also they are asking £329 for hairdryer + display stand + presentation case (including the blue and gold one which comes in a red case).

Thank you I'm going to look Into that. (y)

Pro-Tip: Put all your spare money into Global Index Trackers (S&S ISA). The long-term rate of return will be much better than that of products for your hair and your future self will thank you for it. (y)

WRONG. I bought one off these for my wife. I was also sceptic however it is extremely good. For one thing, when you shove the nozzle into your hair, the airflow restriction did not result in the heater glowing red hot with a smell of singed hair. The heat is processor controlled and is precise. She tells me it has halved the drying time and makes straightening her hair much easier. All I can say, is try it

Wow you don't miss anything do you Sherlock. How hot is the deal?

Then you are not their target market and shouldn’t buy one

That may have been the case before, but my wifes Parlux laster 10 months, 3200 model...got it replaced and then it lasted 11 months. Terrible build quality, must be cutting corners these days. Dyson will last much much much longer than 11 months, this takes 3 times longer to dry your hair and also uses 300 watts more..... Sounds like a false economy to me...

Don't know why cold. £60 off normal price if u plan to get one anyway

It's still loud but it's much quieter as a typical dryer. You can normally try them out in Currys or JL.

How noisey are these? My little girl hates drying her hair because of the noise.

Yeah I agree it's really expensive. Thanks for your thoughts!

£300 for a hairdryer (lol) wtf

If you think it’s so crap then why are ALL hairdressers using them these days?! To me it sounds like you can’t afford it and haven’t even tried it but your sitting on your high horse commenting about how YOU don’t like it... (lol)

So many people complaining about something they don't want or have even used. Saw people doing this when Dyson came out with their vacuums and now people pay that price and more. Dyson innovate and redesign. Don't like it? Don't buy it. Just don't act all jealous and put people down for buying these products. Dyson rethought how a vacuum works. Now most vacuums follow that design... Though they still don't improve like Dyson. For how many dryers my girlfriend has gone through over the years and how noisy they are it's probably be a saving to buy this if they last as long as the vacuum... Hopefully we see a better saving soon.

Anyone else think these look like earphones?

So you are happy to buy almost anything from China where workers have no rights at all? Where our trade deficit is enormous, in other words they grabbing our jobs and tax? Which workers right is Dyson trumping? In life there is a hierarchical phenomenon. Not all fingers are equal, not everyone is the same. If his products cost 100x more than others and so what? No one is forcing you to buy his product. Demands drive his pricing and product model, not someone looking for deals on HUKD.

I suppose on a positive you will get advantage card points buying from boots, but no cheaper than elsewhere

Not sure why so cold. We absolutely should pay whatever Dyson asks for his Malaysian sweatshop produced plastic on which he won't pay his taxes to contribute to the country he lives in.

I bought this and it's the best investment ever. Cannot go back to normal hairdryers in hotels!

Taking an average usage of 3 times a week. A normal 1600W Hair dryer will cost £15 a year to run, this about £3.50. So energy efficiency isn't that much of a selling point. Even over 10 years, if it lasts that long, you only save about £115. If you factor in your time as being valuable. If you think of time as £10 per hour. This will save you about £600 of time, per year @ £10ph. Then it starts to make sense. That's an extra hour a week to rest, exercise, do housework, study, Netflix and Chill, etc.

Suppose it's all about how much a difference it'll make to you personally- I have friends that have quite thin hair and it would honestly be pretty pointless for them. But for me it's an absolute battle and ball ache to dry my hair and if it makes as much of a difference as upgrading my Henry to a Dyson V8 I'll be pretty pleased!

Whole week wage on hair dryer, sorry cold.

I am literally the same - to the point where it takes me so long and I get so stressed out my life revolves around "hair wash night" so my boyfriend can't make plans for us if it's on a Tuesday or Thursday night after work... he convinced me to get the hairdryer and granted it's an awful lot of dough but if my hair dries in 8 minutes it could quite literally change my life! (And his (lol) ) (unicorn)

Cheapest price you can get it for currently. Heat added.

Hot for those who can afford it and appreciate such a revolution in the blowdry market. Let's take a moment to appreciate how GOOD this dryer is and how much SENSE its functions make + it's on a discount relative to its RRP. Check all the professional reviews about this and its unanimously a better hair dryer than everything else they've used; like iPhone of the smartphone world when it was first released in 2007, the dyson supersonic basically reinvented the blowdryer. Functions to appreciate that NO OTHER blowdryer has today: - Location of fan is in the handle - The simple placement of the fan in the handle makes it so much less strain to hold a blowdryer. Anyone who has used a blowdryer for more than a minute knows the feeling of the having the balance the blowdryer with more wrist strength the longer you blow. - Magnetic attachments - Also seems like a no brainer... Most blowdryers just use a plastic rim and snap on which loses fitting overtime (some don't even fit well the first time and leaks air). - No metal heat grill - If your hair touches the grill; you know your hair is instantly damaged... but its faster to dry the hair the closer you put it to the grill. Damaged hair sucks. Most of us dudes just don't understand this. Ever look in a mirror and notice that 1 weird looking hair that is out of place, extra long, sometimes frilly, and without thinking the solution is to pull it out? Now multiply that by a hundred for long hair when it gets damaged and pulling them is not a solution; you're stuck with hundreds of strands of annoying crappy hair thanks to a blowdryer. - Dynamic temperature adjustment - Blowdryers don't do this. You set it to hi, lo, or cool and that's the constant temperature it blows without regards to your hair. Blowdryers have no concept of the temperature that is actually blowing on your hair. The dyson monitors the temperature outflow and adjusts dynamically if its too hot. Yes, this is a very premium price for personal use, but this is also not paying for your everyday blowdryer. I personally don't own one, I just appreciate how big of a leap it has given to the blowdrying world and maybe some of these innvocations will trickle down to cheaper products in the future.

Use code VC65. Crazy price for a hairdryer but cheapest I can find.

£250 for a hair dryer only a saddo would pay that time to get a new wife I think

To be honest it is nice of you to get your Mrs this. I have one and it is a fantastic hairdryer.

£250 broken down is: £4 for the dryer components £6 for maketing £240 for Dyson's Christmas bonus, so he can purchase more white iron-free shirts and tell us that we really need this. In reality, just like the Dyson Fans, this is be made of cheap plastic and he much louder than any other normal fan/dry dryer out there....

Why when i use code fir dyson in boots it vc65 it wont taje it can anyone help tbanks

I agree with the person who bought this hairdryer. I myself too have bought one. i don't go on 3 holidays a year or buy the latest iPhone for £1000 when you can get one that VIRTUALLY DOES THE SAME THING FOR MUCH LESS so why criticise someone who want to buy a hair dryer that is more expensive. It is a treat to buy this dryer or a very kind gift. It is not only rich people who buy this dryer. I buy this dryer others prefer to go out drinking, buy games consoles or iPhones or have numerous holidays or sky tv.
