The Volcano variety (also had a thermometer indicating "hot") were anything but - quite a mild spice that I think anyone could tolerate even after eating several of them. In fact, the cheese flavour dominated far more than the spice did, but I'm not a big fan of cheese crisps, so that wasn't a plus for me really. Overall, a big let down and almost false advertising about the spice level.
Sweet chilli flavour is usually "chilli for wimps", so I tend to avoid it, but the Dragon Sweet Chilli variety actually had a kick to it to my surprise (and no cheese, so that's another improvement). I'd still argue it's not at the "hot" thermometer level they also had on the pack, but definitely a step up from the disappointing Volcano variety. If you had to pick just one from Aldi because of the insane price, go for Dragon Sweet Chilli.
As for the Fuego variety, I think I was given a pack a while back and they are actually what I would term hot, unlike the Aldi flavours. Hot enough that it might put people off who can't handle spicy stuff.
Edit - Tabasco, of course . (edited)
