Not a bad deal! I'll definitely will go with this instead of messing around with 3.99 deal. Hope it's still going to be around when my £1 for 3 months ended

What never? surely you have to pay the odd month at full price, otherwise they'll just accept your threat/decision to cancel eventually
Unless you keep joining with different email addresses - which means the books are all in different libraries.

This annual price is equivalent to just 18p per month more. Surely worth that to save all the faffing about?

Yes. You get all your 12 credits as soon as you pay, so you could immediately download 12 books if you wanted to .

No email invite for me yet. However, I've seen Audible offers on here before, then received the offer the next day. In the past, I've found the phone Audible customer service team very amenable. I have told them about offers that I have seen on here, and they have given it to me.

Nottinghamshire Libraries gives free access to Libby (magazines and audio books), Borrowbox (audio and ebooks) and Ulverscroft (audio books).
Lots of fiction and biographies on these, but a little thin on non-fiction, and you can have a long wait for very new titles.

if you sign up to this I thoroughly recommend the Hail Mary Project as a good listen. the book is written by the guy who did The Martian and is great but the fella reading it is fantastic. I've listened to a lot of books and he is hands down the best narrator yet.

Ah, now I'll probably switch to this. Equivalent of £4.17 per month seems like an OK deal to me.

I've spent the last few months pausing my membership now and then to keep costs down, but then you don't get access to the plus catalogue which has some has some pretty interesting stuff in it. My challenge will be not splurging all 12 of my credits all at once - because then I'll spend more as new titles come out later in the year - which is what they're banking on, of course !

They keep it quiet, but for £109.99 you get full year's membership and 24 titles. So about £4.50 per book and membership.

Realise this isn’t helpful in any way but I got a 3 month free trial of audible with my phone contract about a year ago. I deactivated it from my o2 account, but Amazon and o2 could not work out how I was still a premium plus member. Neither of them are charging me and said it was some kind of glitch they are unable to remove so told me just to enjoy free audible for life.

Audible customer services wouldn't let me take up this offer at all. I've been a pay-monthly subscriber for almost 4 years, stupidly hadn't even realised I should move to annual billing, but that didn't mean much to the agent that chatted with me. In the end after 30 minutes they gave me a 3 months free trial by way of a consolation.

One thing I don't like is that you lose your unspent credits if you cancel at any time, so if you get to the end of your 12 months and haven't used them, you either need to spend them very quickly or switch to a monthly rolling.

Would have gone for this if I was eligible. I usually search around for either a free month or £3.99 a month. At £4.17 a month for a year, I'd have been happy with not having to faff around. The time it takes searching for a deal is worth more than 18p.

Just had message from them, and managed to get deal, when I checked yesterday they wanted 69 pounds
