Brilliant these are. I find you need two hands though, one to hold the drill/driver and another to put pressure on the attachment, apart from that they great

It's fortunate that most of us are thus equipped then.

Its the kind of tool that could be useful. if its part of a your day job. but the odds are. most DIY will never get a round to using it. £21.99 is the best on ebay. save you looking. so its hot on amazon

I've used mine as a diyer maybe 4 times, but when I have, it's saved me a load of hassle

These are the best out of all the right angled holders I've used.

I paid £17 last year at Amazon and used it for drilling loads of holes in tight vertical studs in the bathroom - it handled it all with no issues, unlike others I've used before.

For most rare circumstances could I not just use small ratcheting socket ? I get this would be very handy for kitchen fitter etc (edited)

For screwing/wrenching, yeah probably. For impact driving, no.

The problem with tools is the rarer circumstances where something else isn't enough. Especially if you already bought something that covers most eventualities but not all of them and buying somethinge else for that as well it ends up being more expensive and time-consuming than just spending more in the first place. There's no right answer.

However it's only £5 more to get this another time if you need it, so not the end of the world. (edited)

Invaluable if doing anything between joists.

Worth getting a set of hex end drills to match - the tri blade one are quiet good and aggressive.

Just be careful with relatively large drills as lot of force and will twist out of hand.

Ideal for fitting led profiles under kitchen unit plinth gaps. Lifesavers when you need them.

Somehow I ended up watching this whole video... Milwaukee did well, it seems like the same one with American product code - or maybe someone else knows?

I’m not even interested in buying one… But I watched a video untill the end

Good tool. Sort of pays for itself if you use it once in time and hassle saved.

These are great - used it to impact drive some 200mm screws into garden sleepers next to the fence no problem.

This will impact screws in. (Obviously within reason lol) I broke a few cheapo ones just using a drill so this is excellent 👌

Cheap versions in lidl at the moment, saw one yesterday

Oh wow this could be the answer to my prayers, if it will drill into metal? I have a sheared bolt to remove on a car.
    EndemicAlarm's avatar
The drill is what turns it, not what goes into the attachment end. There's probably such thing as hex drill bits or chuck-to-hex (or vice versa) adapters, if you have the room.

Might want to look into extractor bits for this specific purpose. (edited)

I've used the Dewalt equivalent on our house refurb quite a bit, been very useful, would imagine this is just as good.

Will it work with the other brands as a base drill/impact?

An identical product is available on Amazon, without the Milwaukee branding, for nearer to £12.
That's what I bought a few years back. I believe it's the same product, not a knock off.

Look at the bottom of the Amazon page for the alternatives. I am not posting a link, due to board rules.

The OTAIVE one is close but the red casing at least is clearly much rougher and the holder metal looks different. The WANAONE one looks identical.

None of them seem to include impact bits tbf, Milwaukee probably put their name on weak DIY store sets like every other big name but I'd imagine the ones they bundle with proper tool purchases are decent.

Someone in the WANAONE reviews weighed it at 173gms, I'll weigh my genuine one when it arrives and see if there's an interesting difference.

Wish I knew these existed when drilling holes for our new 13 new blinds.

Trying to drill a straight hole very near a corner without damaging the surfaces nearby is a bloody pain.

Bought one last year and use it more than I thought I would. Excellent bit of kit to have in your bag
