does the offer reset at midnight or do you have to wait 24 hours between shops ? (edited)

It was 24 hours during the bakery promotion, but unsure about this one. The Ts and Cs say there must be a day between purchases but unsure if this means 24+ hours.

do you have to activate this offer or is it in the app already ?

It works automatically, the spin option will appear after you have made a purchase

What's the most expensive reward on the list?
    Pepper13's avatar
    Author
    Strawberries or raspberries

Superb deal. Lidl is showing Tesco how it should be done!
  5. ADDCAD's avatar
Hot Deal, but outside of this I won’t pick up lidl fruit or veg anymore. Quality nearly always poor only lasting a few days before turning.

Today I got…. Pineapple or mango 🍍 (edited)
    mysmugcat's avatar
Yes, i have got this twice now and have bought little in Lidl . It s a win for me

Sneaky... my local lidl has stopped selling any fruit and veg by weight, so my usual 1p carrot purchase plan went out of the window

    Won some bananas though.
    kevin73's avatar
Did Lidl ever sell loose carrots? Would have to be a very small carrot to cost 1p.

You can buy ginger by weight, and loose nuts.
  8. Index's avatar
What's the cheapest item I could buy from lidl, using vegtables, possibly the nuts (edited)
    PSKY's avatar
1 very small loose carrot 🥕
  9. craigbob's avatar
If you are in Scotland make sure you get which Strawberries the all says Scottish/British I made the mistake thinking they would scan the same
    Ferris's avatar
There are also 2 kinds of Easy Peelers, so be careful not to get the kiddie ones.
  10. anaxom's avatar
Today bought something in lidl and picked up free oranges but it didnt give me digital receipt with scratch card for entry!
    Ferris's avatar
I got a digital receipt but no spin (purchase plus free item, as usual).

Weirdly, at the same time i did a purchase for a family member (just a purchase, no free item) and she DID get a spin (edited)

Super hot. Such a better deal than doughnuts or pastries 🔥
    Here4DFyah's avatar
Also, I think a lot of stores should jump on this to cut food waste too, especially for fruits and veg.
  12. troublesome1's avatar
Hot! Was expecting it to be one apple or summit!
  13. niknak's avatar
Always nice to get your hands on a lovely pear or some melons... #Carry on Lidl

What a deal!!!! Most shops associate beer and snacks with football, this is actually a healthy promotion for a sport, well done Lidl
    Dyslexic_Dog's avatar
It wouldn't be healthy to eat the fruit from my local Lidl, most of it is rotting on the shelves (yes I am being serious), it's almost in a liquid form and I think if you ate it, it would probably leave your rear end in a liquid form.
  15. Renshy's avatar
Strawberries or melon for me. One of the better offers I’ve seen for some time! Beats the usual free junk food
  16. Dyslexic_Dog's avatar
If it's anything like the fruit n veg at my local Lidls, all I will be doing is creating a new compost heap!
  17. Mentos's avatar
Finally, I was considering mailing/tweeting to complain all their offers are so unhealthy. Buy quite a bit of fruit in there so this will be great.

Mind you, Still have to complain about their bloody prices always being wrong (edited)
  18. premierfella's avatar
Seems my fruit intake is about to go through the roof! Great deal (I'd argue even better than that previous bakery promotion - certainly healthier anyway!)

Edit: I wonder what they mean by the items being allocated based on stock availability at the time? None of the items looks like one they don't always have and I'd be surprised if the database knows anything about available stock other than when they last delivered a stock item to the store or possibly what is out of stock (if the store logs that somewhere during the day?) (edited)
    dav31's avatar
Surely the store logs stock levels as they sell them at the checkout so they have a good idea of levels at any time. If it's anything like the bakery deal, they will at some point run out of items, I usually went later in the day and they always ran out of bakery items, then I went in the morning once and it was stocked full.

This fruity gamble might seem like a plum deal, but you need to use your melon. Otherwise once you pop your cherry, you can end up going completely bananas.
    deleted392719's avatar
You can't really compare though, it's like apples and oranges
  20. Loveabargain99's avatar
Fantastic offer but I am going in daily now....I am obsessed, I can't wait for my next spin, sad I know

You’re not alone, at least I’m not the only saddo
  21. mudcat's avatar
Great (and heat) but what's with the 'gambling' going on with all this 'spin to win stuff' going on. Fair enough, often it's same result for everyone but just seems (IMO) to be feeding a potentially horrendous addiction : (
    SR4's avatar
Think about who wins with gambling
  22. Ferris's avatar
I wonder if the free item will count as a purchase like it did for the bakery promo this time last year (but not in the more recent one)?

Very good deal, anyway (other than the fact that Lidl fruit tends to go bad within a day). (edited)
    tom1234321's avatar
They changed the t&c, that's why the part where it says "buy anything above 1p". The first deal just said make a purchase. Getting it free will make it 0p.

So yeah, you'd have to buy something.

They learned from the very first time they did it, sad for us good for them. (edited)

Thanks this has been a great offer, I've grabbed lots of free fruit, well as free loafs and cereals from rewards on the app which I didn't normally use but will in future.

    It's been a massive help

I've got a mango or pineapple left to collect today and might be able to sneak in one last spin of the wheel today

Ohh and possibly Scotland as well though I'm unsure if there's any agreement in place for this rare occurrence! (edited)
