sorted byWith those that have lots of oil, I decant some of this off and use it a chilli oil for cooking/dipping in other recipes.
As for comparing Pataks with these, you are not really comparing the same thing. Pataks are more like chutneys [like a jam made with spices, sugar and vinegar], and so a bit sweet, whereas these are Achars that are a preserve that uses spices and oil with no sugar...both tasty, but both different!
So much learning on different foods/culture, love it.
