    If I put this SSD in a caddy and connect the USB to a Xbox Series X will it allow me to play games of it or Microsoft restrics this. If I made any sense.

    As long as the game is not optimised for Series X/S you can play games from an external drive.
    The optimised games need either the internal storage or one of the official (overpriced) expansion cartridges.

    2TB slow SATA SSDs like this should be £50 by now, as you can get 2TB NVMe drives about 3x faster than this at least for as low as £80-90 recently on HUKD.

    This is not a slow SATA SSD as SATA can't go over 6GB/s. Where you are going to put an NVMe if the system is out of the slots or to an old machine? I always see such comments but only some come up with backup comments like I just wrote ...
