    Chinese ditch finders.
Their pitch to sellers is ' boost your sales and margin."

Think I'll steer clear of these, buyers might not be able to, not in an emergency anyway 😁

I can understand 18-20 inch tyres people struggle to afford a decent brand tyres, but this 16 inch size is popular and cheap can't how you save by buying cheap when they will last you half of what you get from a midrange.

Buy cheap...buy twice! Shame you are risking your only life too.

These are perfectly adequate if you drive responsibly in the first place, minimise and mitigate chances of putting yourself in a dangerous situation is my advice.
If it were a choice between worn tyres and a fresh set of rubber on a budget, you are far safer to have these on your motor. Heat added, ignore the ‘stat-seeker’ members that lack common sense and downvote deals that don’t suit their specific needs

I look at these cheap tyre deals for the comments, never fails to amuse me.

Yes, these are cheap. No, they are not as good as Michelin. But they have to meet minimum safety requirements to be sold. Therefore, perhaps if you're an old girl who potters about town in a little Agila or Fiat 500 and never exceed 40mph, never goes near a dual carriageway or drives in inclement weather, these are more than adequate. Why spend double or more on a set of Michelin or Pirelli that you'll never reap the benifits from?
If however, you harbour an inner Nigel Mansell vibe in your hot hatch worrying the wildlife racing down country lanes, you might well want to "steer" clear of budget "ditchfinders". It's horses for courses, if you have a performance car, you should budget for high end performance tyres, not knock budgets that have a place in the market if you don't need to have a full complement of Hards, Mediums and Softs to fulfill your motoring needs! I have to agree. Drive slow and carefully, these would do. However, I'd also advise people to put tyres and brakes ahead of things like engine maintenance if you're in a pinch (the latter will come to bite you at some point, but you're not piloting an aircraft and if you don't have kids in the car perhaps from a safety perspective you can put off spending money on the engine).

Heated. Better than having barely MOT legal rubber in the four corners.

My dad used to buy budget no brand tyres (like 20 years ago)
Every set only lasted him for a year (low mileage)
Branded mid-top range tyres can last for years.

You save money and it’s safer buying good branded tyres in the long run

I put 4 Landsail on my work car 2.5 years ago, do about 4k miles a year, fronts still about 5-6mm, rears like new still, will rotate them when I get a minute but should get another 2 years.

The ATS deal is better works out ,£200 fitted for Kumo's

    Wouldn’t touch these

Everyone who buys cheap tyres like these are always smug ... Until when you need to slam your brake pedal to the floor and watch as your car doesn't stop in time, you realise what a false economy these are. A set of decent tyres is only £100 more and will last you twice as long and might save you, your car and some innocent pedestrian/cyclist/driver/passenger from injury or death (edited)

Think so many people lose sight of what this site is about. Bottom line is can you find this product cheaper?
Yes, there are many better and safer tyres on the market, we all know this. But these are dirt cheap, road legal and still far better than a worn set. In my book, that's still a deal.

Do deals for Dacia Sandero have comments about not being as safe as a Volvo, even though price point and target markets are miles apart?

One worn tyre = 100 fine and three points.... We get it, but I've had em and as many others say, lethal in the wet.... Weren't this brand, but an equally cheap set, I sold the car and warned the buyer, but he ended up losing it in the wet and smashed a wheel...

For goodness sake, don't risk dodgy tyres like these on your car.

Surely you value safety over saving a few £

The easiest way to prevent these tyres from losing grip when you slam on is to put some grease on your brake discs.
Not only will it prevent lock up, but your brake pads and discs will last ages.

    Savings all round.

It's a shame we have to share the roads with people who buy tyres like these!

Nothing like budget driving. Just ask any white van driver.

I used to buy cheap tyres for the old car, but they are terrible. Sumitomo aren’t great. But auto grip are dreadful and actually lethal in the wet. (edited)

Please don't risk your and other's safety with them.

Here is a much better deal for tyres which will stop you ASAP wet or dry.

Uniroyal Rainsports are probably amongst the best tyres on the market for wet stopping distance and control
They are though , about 80% more than this deal.
    I get what you say.

Don't look too safe that thread pattern yet they still managed to sell 845 sets. ps it's not a M+S
    cliosport65's avatar
Doesn't matter about the threads in the tyre , it's all about tread pattern as that is what is in contact with the road (edited)

Until you get a puncture on the side walls of new tyres and they are scrap and unrepairable. Hence I buy part worn tyres..too many punctures I've had. I bought 4 brand new point S tyres a year ago. I've replaced 2 already as puncture was unrepairable with part worn tyres..
    Besford's avatar
Of course you research the history of those part worns before fitting don't you, so you know they haven't been in an accident, etc? Why do you think they are on sale part worn?

Are these rebranded of the Ditchfinders 3000?
  18. HaroFreestyler's avatar
    The good old LingLong Ditchfinders.
  19. flossie98's avatar
Cheap for a reason and the c and c rating should be taken with a pinch of salt.
Still better than worn out end of life tyres that cost you 3 points a corner.
    Darkraiser's avatar
Normally on cheap tyres the ratings are real however, where it pales in comparison to the top end tyres is that the compound is only on the outer few mm of the tyres. So once you've done a few thousand miles in them, you'll begin to notice diminishing returns as the cheaper compound quickly takes charge.

Yet another deal which doesn't include either of the following tyre sizes for the cars I look after:
    225/60/R18
    215/65/R16
    205/55/R17
    155/60/R15
    175/55/R15
    215/70/R15
    backyard's avatar
You could probably stretch these over your 215/65/R16
  21. LiverDeals's avatar
These are definitely some of the tyres of all time!
