wow

Yeah !... thats what black friday will be about again - supermarkets selling crappy 50inch tvs and people on doles fighting about them !

Would make a good bedroom TV

Any proof or just a hunch?

Didn't notice the Smart bit earlier...

And: "Made in Turkey" -- for a cheapo TV that's a good thing as it means it's a Vestel -- so at least parts are readily available.

I do wonder how much longer Vestel will remain viable though -- if ISIS expands any further Turkey might not be the easiest place to trade from.

And for use in my working digs to connect up my Xbox to keep me happy the three days a week I'm there, it'll be just fine...
That said, I doubt I'll actually get one... Fighting with the hoardes or a Friday morning is NOT high on my to-do list...

think you somewhat underestimate the power of benefits most have the latest 4k tvs from the pay £5 p/w for all the latest tech and furniture

Card-carrying member of the benefits demonising propoganda brigade. What utter **** you speak.

£200 for 18 months - works out at less than £20 - umm...still no thanks

Can't wait to see the fights over this. Brand snobs won't go for it, but these sets are fine for the dosh. I am still using a Blaupunkt 50 from tesco online last black Friday, and it is still going strong. The box was kicked in by city link as well.

At least the Vestel brand ISIS has been dropped.

For those complaining about cheap tvs only lasting 12-18 months I've had my Celcus for about 3 and a half years (running it very regularly too...) and it's fine. Knowing my luck it might go out tho so might grab this xD

What a snob.

Go spend your money on full price Samsung's at Tesco and get away from HUKD. You're like vermin.

Well said! I see some of the abject poverty some people live in. But of course, if you are thick and read the daily mail you will believe all those that are out of work are able to buy the best of everything and use food banks as a lifestyle choice. Bit pathetic demonising the poorest.

For £200 it's a brilliant 50" TV, the saying 'you get what you pay for' isn't all negative. Chin up though Pavel, there was no need for you to be a daily fail anti benefit sponsor. I mean, some people are sick and can only afford something like this but you for some reason, had to insult people. wtg man.

Clown of the Week!

I read that stores aren't opening early to avoid last years riots, but does anyone know what time Black Friday does start at sainsburys?.

Clown of the Week!

Said person looking in the mirror...

Its a £200 50in TV......what the hell are you slagging it off for....regardless of make ..its a bargain that I'm sure the kids playing their new Xbox one Xmas day won't complain about....

I can't find any info on this deal anywhere, is there any proof this even exists?
The list here mentions a 32" for £100 , no mention of a 50" at all
mirror.co.uk/mon…417

Celcus 32'' HD ready LED TV with Freeview, now £100 (was £180)
or
Blaupunkt 40/148Z-GB-11B 40'' HD LED TV with Freeview, now £160 (was £280)

nothing at all about a 50" Celcus
Edited by: "stevenmcdowall39" 24th Nov 2015

aah is this the blackpuntt of 2015 Black friday???

Looks blurry even in the picture. Just an observation. But joking aside anyone whos staff and get this on friday will be paying £160 for it. Not bad for a 50" budget tv!

belive me, I have known/know people on benefits who have not worked for years and yet still manage to furnish their homes with the latest devices. The trend I've noticed is that the funds either go towards branded fashion, or branded goods. Both unnecessary.

good find op, heat

No proof of this deal, looks like pure speculation. Cold.

Is this only available for unemployed people

Yes, because this deal starts when the majority are working in the UK.
That's why Black Friday is BS in this country, it's a holiday for most people in the USA,they get the day to shop as it follows thanks giving.
Something we don't celebrate here in the UK

Greedy greedy retailers

Voting hot, just to counteract the snobs.

Exactly, there is charity coffee shop near me( pay what you want with funds going towards serving food for homeless, vulnerable people - like thay saying). There is also convenience store beside... and I see those people going for free food every evening and than grabbing few cans of strong lager at store - ease, trouble free life !
PS. I have to wake up every morning before 6 o'clock, go to work if I want to have my bills paid and have some food in the fridge... sad

Would be great if folks got day off but can you even imagine what the traffic and shopping centre car parks would be like oO

Heat added . I note the uniquely British obsession with linking the size of ones television to ones social standing - the ignorance that unemployed means you are filthy rich , filling your walls with budget TVs . No television screen made could be any larger than the size of your noses sticking in other people's business. Worlds gone to the dogs when people smugly assume having a better branded tv and looking down on people struggling makes you a superior being . Sad .

...and these are very much in the minority, because they're either fiddling by working on the side, or supplementing their income through other, usually illegal means. I live on the edge of a council estate and while I have a decent job and enjoy a comfortable standard of living, I'm surrounded by people on all sides that struggle to make ends meet with benefits.

Yes, some of them are career layabouts that think the World owes them a living, but others have just fallen on hard times and want to work, but can't find jobs. They get sanctioned for the slightest things and are then left to beg from food banks or turn to family & friends just to feed their kids. I'm tired of hearing all this inflammatory crap bandied about by the media and the biased ill-informed. The reality of life having to rely on state handouts is far removed from the sensationalist rubbish you see on the likes of "Benefits Street",

Save your ire for the more deserving, like the MP's flipping their homes, expenses for everything and fat cat jobs as Directors etc in the companies they take bungs off, waiting for them after a short non-career in Politics. Or the bankers. Or the multi-national corporations that have 10th dan black belts in tax dodging.

Anyone had one and care to comment on picture quality?

Four pound an inch. awesome really.

Some people are unable to work through no fault of their own. Unbelievable, I know.
If you've got all the money in the world to buy curved Samsung ***** you've been told his the connoisseur's choice, why are you on a site dedicated to finding bargains? Your bed of 50s need a little fluffing?

*Obviously not ****

It's a good deal full stop.

For the rich, poor and everybody in between.
