I’ve got my eye on a 75’ QN85B for £1699 with a ‘free’ 32 inch Samsung frame TV. They seem to be going for around £3-400

Richer Sounds may price match. Worth checking

Great TV. Bought the same TV with Q930B soundbar from Richer Sounds. After cashback, total came to about £1400 (edited)

I bought exactly the same setup on Monday. Yet to be delivered. What's your thoughts about this duo? I can't wait to check it out myself.

Cracking TV I hear. Just got an option to replace my faulty Q95T (changing inputs erratically) with the 75” version of this by Samsung. Anyone have this TV? What is it like generally?

Have the 43inch in the bedroom.PQ amazing, great for bright rooms and gaming.

I have the 65" sitting in the basket knowing full well the 50" is more suitable for my front room

WARNING... the 48" + 50" have missing or cut down features. Only 55" and above have proper Dolby Atmos (48+50 have a Virtual Dolby Dtmos of sorts) and HDR 2000 (48+50 only get HDR1500), , Anti-reflective Screen (48+50 do not have this), Object tracking sound (48+50 only get Lite version of this feature) (edited)

Any recommendations for good insurance for TV. Two years old toddlers in house.

I got cover with D&G when I bought mine couple of years back. I was so glad I did, my 2 year old scratched the screen a few months in with a baloon weight! ( serves me right for leaving it on the TV stand :O)
Anyway they came and replaced the screen within a few days.

Samsung yet to get Dolby atmos support. So you’re only missing out on some flagship features on small screen

Ssee my comment a bit further up about a 75’ on the same Samsung site.

Is 5 year warranty on here?

It seems you can also get the smallest 43 inch TV on this and yet still get the same sound bar. Seems a good deal also considering you could sell the soundbar for atleast £250
  12. BenjiMoodie's avatar
Still don’t know if to pull trigger or not, I’ve never been worried about extended warranties on previous TVs but there is so much talk about it now days that it feels you need to buy with the extended warranty.

I will get this TV, just not sure if this deal, comes in at just over £900 if I sling the Soundbar off (which I would)…

    What to do
    C0mm0d0re_K1d's avatar
If you buy a tv from John Lewis they automatically give 5 years on tv's and 2 years on all other electricals. Richer sounds offer 5 years on some models.

I never used to bother with extended warranties either. But these days with quality issues and oled burn in worries, it probably worth having especially if the tv is big or over a grand.

I can't decide between a 50" qn90b, 48" c2 or possibly hisense or tcl gaming models. Do I go cheap and spend £5/600 or go premium £900/1k ?

Is this a better choice for gaming if you didn't want OLED or is there a better choice?
    B_Marvel's avatar
It's a great choice at this price.

I have the 55 inch version in the gaming room.

Only issue is I haven't been able to find an adapter that will output the Wii onto the TV

  16. stonejm27's avatar
amazing! thank you. seems very comparable to the QN95B at a fraction of the price

This, or the Philips 65pml9636/12 Miniled, with Ambilight and soundbar?
    Vegeta's avatar
Samsung is better. The Philips has nasty shadow detail crushing that can't be fixed.

If you play a Dolby Vision movie on this does it just play it in HDR10 instead or will the picture have that purple/green tint?
    darkclouds's avatar
hdr10 plus dependent on film of cause others yes hdr10

I bought the same package from Richer Sounds last November in Black Friday, similar price but 5yr warranty... Truly amazing set-up!

The only downside is a clunky UI (plenty of threads on Samsung / AV Forums). The transitions aren't always smooth, and you get occasional jumps from apps / tiles. Probably too much bloatware and advertising
    lkl265's avatar
It should be a 6-year warranty from RS

I’m spending a little bit more and getting air con in my sitting room. Can be happy with existing 55” for now and get bigger screen another year

  22. Tanuki334's avatar
    This or a 65 S95B QD OLED?
    darkclouds's avatar
What’s your usage and location condition ie room too bright
  23. Tanuki334's avatar
netflix + PS5 in living room - medium brightness
  24. Cristiano's avatar
They are doing the 75’ with a free 32’ frame Tv for just over £2000, which seems a decent price when JL and RS are charging £2399 for the TV without a free TV that’s worth around £400.

    maybe worth posting?
  25. Vish1's avatar
    Nope. Q70. Much inferior specs
