sorted byi dont agree i have them in 3 rooms hidden in back of tv all running kodi and mobdro
Can't agree with that I'm afraid. If you have Amazon Prime and Netflix subscriptions, this is a fantastic device for accessing them. I've installed Kodi on the two sticks I have and it runs flawlessly, streaming movies from my NAS as well as accessing ahmm..those streams :-)
Just make sure you use the HDMI extension cable as the WiFi antenna on these is quite poor and being located at the back of the TV results in a poor connection if your TV isn't in the same room as the router.
I had a couple of Chromecasts before these, they're now gathering dust as a standalone solution works so much better at least for me.

Have you tried plugging it in to your TV?
how about in english?
While we're asking, what is google?
:):)
Have got Kodi running on it? I managed to get one for £9.99 from amazon about a month ago (new customer prime deal plus £10 off audible)
I followed a guide on youtube on how to install which took around 20 minutes. I now can stream all the latest boxsets, movies and sport.
Although, I'm yet to find a really decent link for sport, the quality isn't great and lags a bit despite running 68 down / 18 up speeds on my internet (my router is about 3m away in the same room)

Again, with puncutation?
I follow a channel on YouTube called toptutorials it has easy to follow tutorials on how to add kodi on Firestick and all different types of add ons.
Hmm could be congestion on the wifi channel your router is broadcasting in. Try using an app like WiFi Analyser on Android, you can see what the congested channels in your home are and switch the router to a relatively congestion-free channel. Then factory reset the Fire Stick and try using the 5G band over the 2G, usually less congested (if your router supports it).

All rubbish. The wifi is spot on as long as you use 5Ghz, will stream decent bit rate 1080P no problem a fair distance from the router, and Kodi only becomes laggy if you use a complex skin. Use a minimalist skin such Ftv, which was designed for it, and you'll have no problems.
You can start by googling 'install mobdro on fire stick'.
1. Use the extension cable for the HDMI TV connection. It acts as an aerial.
2. Connect the mains supply to the stick. Just the hdmi connection isn't enough.
3. Switch off any firewall settings on your router.
4. Replace batteries provided by amazon with good batteries.
5. Note that the main screen on fire stick is basically adverts for amazon.
6. Learn how to sideload and load kodi with sportdevil and modbro. These will then be shown and accessible in the apps on firestick.
7. make sure your router channel isn't clashing with another one nearby.
8. Expect kodi to have lots of links to streaming points. they may be used by others too so expect some minor issues and change link if there's a problem.
It's not rocket science. it is a good device. it works well. enjoy and stop telling people they don't work cos what you are really saying is that you need a brain cell or two.

Hahahahahaha, thanx, lol.
If I were you - forget the builds - and install The Addon Installer - click for guide
When installed run it from within the programs section - it will show various addons in different categories
To get you up and running - From the Video Category if you're a tv shows & movie fan install Exodus / Velocity / Phoenix / SALTS
If a Sports Fan install Sports Devil & Castaway

I might just be old school but "the first rule of fight club.."
Good price. Heat.
Sideload Mobdro on to it mate, all the sports streams are on there.
Cheers! I've tried using apps like Sports Devil, Pheonix Sports plus a few others and either the links are not working or it's a poor quality. I shouldn't complain to be honest. For £10, it's saved me ££££'s
You literally cannot go wrong. Even at £30/35, they're an absolute steal!!!!
Well done
Mine is fine and i wouldn't replace it with anything
Just put Kodi and TVMC on it and you'll never look back.
First time I've used it - it just goes "checking for updates"
Then fails - can't get past it.
You are letting your pride get in the way of offering good, unbiased advice. Nobody likes to admit they bought a turkey, I get it. But this is not a good choice for Kodi users. Saving £5 when a replacement is most likely a couple of weeks away is a poor economy.
Can I have it??
literally never had a problem with the stick, yes the box runs faster and smoother, but for the price point its more than capable of running kodi
We assume you mean Fire TV. Of course it's better, it's double memory, has lan cable and costs twice as much. A daft comparison.
Download mobdro from mobdro.com
To sideload anything you have to go into Settings
Click on Security and allow installation of apps from sources other than the Play Store
Once installed turn unknown sources back to the default setting
Make your own, just download the apps you need, make your stick or box run smoother not having a load of apps you'll never need or use.
I would also suggest a box over a stick, good deals on ebay for the T95N boxes.
