My WiFi is terrible too. Great media device though once you actually manage to get the content on there!

I've been using my 10 for 6 months and it is very slow and keeps dropping wifi connection.

Why can’t I find this deal? When I tap the tab shows full price?

amour3k

Lol, fair enough, but like you've also stated, it's perfect for your actual real World usage scenario's, right?. So that's also perfectly cool too, lol. :-)

Have the 7", stick a large SD card in and only good for films. Like it's been said a dozen times, it's painfully slow. Got one for my 3 year old purely for films and YouTube.

Fitting is definitely included. Had mine done for the price listed.

Templar_101

Is that cheap for the alignment? I was thinking of getting my wheels aligned when I get mine fitted at the end of April. You do know that tablet needs to be claimed and it doesn't just turn up at the door?

Barcode

I got 4x Mitchelin Pilot 4’s fitted on Mon 11th,service was ok,staff were ok,then they came to ask(as I waited in reception) if I would like the wheels aligning,I think it was this,at a cost of £65 for all 4 wheels. No sign of the free tablet yet

£149.99 now

lee.heryet

But what's better for £109?

fishmaster

It's bad because it performs badly. Lots of lag, general slow performance browsing. I hate even trying to use it after being on my phone because it's so tedious to use. I also installed the Play Store changed the launcher to Nova Launcher set everything to 'Faster than Light' and it was still terrible. I didn't waste too much on it though. £119 and got a 32GB Micro SD and a decent case. If one of those docks comes up cheap sometime. I'll get one and use it in the front room as an extra Echo Show. The reason it costs £109 is because it performs like a tablet that costs £109.

MikeyHenry

I want this tablet mainly for reading my kindle books. Might even buy the Fire 7 as its only £35

Bought one when they were £29.99, thanks to HUKD Connected it to the Anker Bluetooth speaker that was like £45 reduced to £15, thanks to HUKD I inserted a 200GB MicroSD card that was reduced to about £20, thanks to HUKD I then bought a wall mount for abut £3 A right-angled micro usb cable for £4 The tablet is now on our dining room wall as a digital photo frame, storing all the family photos. To note: Amazon photo app allows you to shuffle the photo slideshow, whereas the Google photo app does not allow shuffle. The Alexa feature means we have it connected to our other smart devices, all voice controlled and at listen to music on a decent speaker during meal times. It's like the Echo Show/ Google Hub, but better in every way and cheaper.

I didn't even have to do that. I just used their chat facility and asked them to remove the ads for me which they did free of charge 'as a gesture to a valued customer'. I rarely buy anything from them... By the way, has anyone managed to claim the Costa voucher? I clicked through from their site but nothing tracked. Looked at the terms of the code and it was showing as Sainsburys and Flannels being the only retailers it was applicable to.

I purchased the 10inch version before Christmas. I downloaded play store and added Nova desktop. All the adds have gone and it works just the way I want. I did try other desk tops but Nova worked the best.

I believe via the Amazon Fire Tablet's Parental Control's 'element'? (in Settings). You can pretty much lock down most aspects of the this Tablet ... Even down to setting up 'Time Limits' of how long the Tablet can and cannot be used for, etc?. You set yourself up as Admin, and away you go ... lol. Enjoy. :-)

Keith_Moon

That's good to know, cheers

Much like apple the warranty is registered with amazon against the serial number. Therefore any issues you can go via amazon rather than the retailer. I have done this with many amazon items.

I live in hope... hopefully Google take some market share, and Amazon respond. After all, its the revenue from services which make the profit :)

Unlikely. It will be a deliberate design choice so as not to take sales away from a higher priced product. :{

is the tablet plus dock, really that bad as an echo device

mann242

Yes well pointed out - the microphone could be better and is a problem if too close to an external the speaker when music is playing. Overall Im still pleased with my purchase and the decision to go for the Tablet and Show Dock verses the Echo Show. Its absolutely right to highlight its not perfect but for the money bearing in mind you have a reasonable tablet into the bargain its still worth considering.

I'd imagine this would be down to £99.99 new in 4 days time, but it's a good price for now. Camelcamelcamel suggests it occasionally goes down to £82 used (near enough the £77 quoted above), but most often £90 (this may change as it's a slightly older product now).
