The price has been very good for a while now - would I be crazy to do a new build on an old platform?! Still on a 4770k and 970ti.

Yes, you would be crazy is the short answer.

You can get a 7600x, b650 mobo and 32gb of ddr5 6000 for around £570. A 5800x3d, mobo worth putting it in and 32gb of ddr4 with good speeds/timing is going to cost you over £500. There is no debate to be had about the 5800x3d being a great CPU, but it only really makes sense to people already on the AM4 platform

Would this fix stutters in cyberpunk when it auto saves

You already have a great CPU, no doubt this one's better - but as others have said, seems like a game issue. Wouldn't drop 300 quid for a game stuttering in a single scenario, and there's no guarantee it will fix it. Just disable autosave, looking around others have the same problem as you do, game issue it seems like. (edited)

Mine was going to be: "one penny less than last week, my target is £200. I might be waiting a while!"

Been tempted by this for a while but hopefully it will drop in price when the 7000 counter part drops

Mist admit, Amazon’s offer of paying over 5 months interest free is tempting!

I think £300 is just the standard price now.

I've seen AMD bundles that have a 7 series professor, mobo and Ram for £200 more and also includes Tlou Part 1

I know this has the 3D cache but maybe that's a better upgrade. (edited)

Can you provide links, I want to upgrade to AM5 but mobo + RAM prices are putting me off. I currently have a ryzen 5 2600x and am considering upgrading to ryzen 7 5700x
