as pointed out on another apple post yesterday

you can go to an Apple Store, get them to price match

then use a work scheme to get discounted apple vouchers and use those.

im not saying its for everyone, but I am saying its possible

if your really needing a saving, (rant we all) this could be an option for some,

Never known Apple to price match with John Lewis, Amazon or Costco

I just bought one of these. They're amazing. 4 times quicker than my souped up iMac. Silent. And can run as many monitors as you can put in your room. Love it

I'm amazed how much apple charge for these

I’m amazed it’s 2024 and you still worry about other people spending their own money on Apple products.

Personally, I'd wait until Costco do the M1 at £1,299 again. You won't notice that much difference unless your doing something VERY specific and use the £604 towards a nice external Synology NAS. (edited)

Slightly cheaper from Costco, also with 2 years warrenty, costco.co.uk/Com…208

The JL warranty is worthless trouble and will likely prevent you from buying Apple Care within the necessary time limits.

Apple are so tight with there storage. 512GB is a joke for a mac at this price.

Time to go laugh at the weird Apple hater comments.

All these people commenting about low storage I’m guessing you don’t actually use a computer for any pro work? You would NEVER work from an internal drive. You use cheap external SSDs.

What do you do on these that you can't on another computer ? That disc will fill up in no time

You can use Logic Pro and Final Cut Pro software….
     that’s about it

also midi works differently and can be used zero latency, due to the way the operating system works .  Comes in quite handy (it’s a necessity) for musicians

not that there’s no music software on windows, just you have more and better options on Mac

    also screen good!!! very good.

These do not keep your room very warm unlike a PC with about ten fans and a 1000watt supply that blows out a nice constant heat. but they are good for your hearing as they are silent.

Less comments from fans of spyware OSes than I’d expect in this thread

I guess we have more spyware because we have more storage available 😔
