    Overpriced.
I can't find any feature that would justify that price for that machine.

Don’t buy it then. Problem solved

Can't be a pro with that screen. Might as well get an air at this price. (edited)

An air with 24gb and 1tb?

Hard to argue with that spec, I still maintain the Touch Bar still holds up. That YouTube timeline scrubbing paid for itself

    Shame not the 14 inch

It’s rumoured to be getting an M4 in late 2024/early 2025 so might skip M3 completely.

Still waiting for next studio to replace my ageing hackintosh….but, let me get this right - I’ve only just realised this (as I have no interest in their laptops) - so, it’s a MacBook Pro - with a non pro m2. (Rather than a MacBook Pro with a m2pro chip?? - who comes up with these spec names??!

Yeah it's really just a bigger, badder version of the old MacBook Air. Hence they discontinued it. Good machine but too dated now compared to the more modern 14" and 16" Pros.

Not 8gb ram, I was FIRST!

It is 8GB RAM (times 3)

Cannot believe the M4 will be out in a few months, like they released the M1 and took ages for the M2.... But now it's one per year sadly. I just do not see why Apple are releasing so often when there isn't any really meaningful upgrade. In fact if anything the newer chips use more power and aren't as good as that first one.

The chips are better, but I agree that the upgrade is so minor.

Whats the real differ Between this and the £1699 one. Isit just a m2 pro chip??

These use the older chassis with the touchbar, and yes the non-pro chip. Aesthetically I much prefer the other design, this one looks quite dated. It's less powerful, due to not being the pro and a few other differences too. I'd go with the £1699 if you have the extra money.

Not a bad deal at all. This might be quite the collectible in future as aside from SSD size it’s the highest spec MacBook with a touch bar.
