    I bought a similar product to facilitate my Laptops connection to my 50" TV, where a simple HDMI (TV to Laptop) cable always results in the Laptop (while on the TV) being the default for AUDIO

    At start-up, I had to unplug the HDMI from the Laptop, and simply reinsert it, BUT NOW all I gotta do is hit the button to "switch" to input Nr2 (I don't have connected) then hit it again, back to Nr1, and BINGO my Laptop now shows the audio as being via the TV.

    Not ideal I grant you, but a great fix.

    So Laptop => USB C Hub => Hdmi port => HDMI Splitter => Monitor?
