I bought these in 2021, and while they are ok, I found that they pill and quickly look poor quality. If they were £5 cheaper I might buy another pair, but not worth it at this price.

Yeah I agree with this comment, I've had a few of the kiwi pro trousers. OK to start off with but they pill ie "go hairy" after a while. I don't think the material is as durable as it should be

Pro-Tip: Check charity shops as you can sometimes find the ones where the legs zip off for £3-4.

Yep depends on where you live, by us the shoplifters beat you to the good stuff. I wish I was joking

I have loads of Craghoppers trousers. Most are the "Winter lined" versions, but also zip-off shorts, unlined, and ultra thin Nosilife versions.

The older ones with chunky zip puller are the best. I like many others have had problems with later versions and "pilling" or attracting crap during washing.

The sizing between versions varies wildly.

If the Winter lined version was still available with the chunky zip puller, then I would buy. Alas, I think the quality IMHO has decreased.

That's a shame to hear the quality isn't much good. I've not long got into hiking a bit more and got a pair of convertible and winter lined, and quite like both but do notice the pilling thing that people describe. Any suggestions for other brands that don't cost a fortune? Craghoppers was the only brand that I found for reasonable prices during sales

I bought a couple of pairs of these back in 2021 and find them great, still wearing great. I paid £15.36 for them, well worth it.

I have a few pairs of these and bought them years ago when they were guaranteed for life.

I still claim on that guarantee every 5 years or so.

    What a bargain that was!

Ditto. Also their fleece-lined Kiwis (perfect winter dog-walking Trews).

just be warned, go a size smaller. there 30in are more like 32in waist.

Any recommendations for a convertible pair?

Great these but the sizes are all over the place and never consistent

These are nylon. I find polyester is a better material and certainly looks better for longer.
Also, nylon tends to lose it's shape more in the washing machine. Possibly as the material absorbs water.

As for the comments on zip off leg trousers, well I find those chafe around the zip area so I avoid them now.

Worst trouser they make. thin & fragile. & some stupidly placed pockets. Slightest bramble encounter , will see pulls in the material. Kiwi classic are much better quality. (edited)
