Unless you live in Holyhead or close who in there right mind would bother doing this

Liverpool, Wirral Chester, Crewe are all within driving distance and there's a good train line across the coast. The journey to get to Holyhead is pleasant in itself.

There are at least a million people who could benefit from this deal with little effort.

So just in case anyone is interested. Can arrive in Dublin at 12:15 and Leave 20:30. So could get a bit over 8hrs

Yes, and the city centre is only 10 mins from the Ferryport.

Accommodation in Dublin is very expensive, and the city itself is very compact.

So going back and forth in the one day is a great idea.

Unfortunately the HSS doesn't run any more.

Yep, the hotel prices are crazy high, sometimes more than London.

We done this deal last summer whilst caravanning in Anglesey and had a great time, plus don't forget we're also entitled to duty free so you save a fair bit on booze and tobacco and the limits are generous.
On our journey they had Stoli vodka on a very special offer for £5 a Litre so we ended up with 5 Litres and also 2L of Jamesons whisky that was a lot cheaper than over here.
The people from Wales would really benefit because of their stupid alcohol minimum price laws.

Bear in mind it's a 3hr 15min crossing, so you won't be getting in to Dublin until after midday.

Still a cracking deal if you live near and fancied a cheeky day out .

Don't forget to factor in the oost of parking at Holyhead (edited)

You can use the slot machines on the crossing to pass the time. Superb.

Heat from me. Very good price of you leave nearby. Especially comparing the price with Isle of Wight ferries keeping the distance in mind. (edited)

Only ever once sailed to Ireland, it was an over night sailing, never again. Had to endure endless hours of drunken Welsh guys drinking Guinness, singing some song over and over about how they'll 'never go down that mine again'. I felt like I'd been down the mine myself by the time the ship docked.

It must have been a long time ago, if it was on this boat it's massive and wouldn't be to hard to find a quiet spot, it even has cinemas and numerous restaurants and seating areas. (edited)
