Cruised once from Tilbury. Never again. Cars were directed to be parked next to industrial-sized piles of building sand in the ‘car park’. Shuttle back from the port to the car park was separate to your luggage which took several hours to arrive.

Chaos! Choose a fit for purpose cruise terminal!

Confusing as it mentions free port parking or free transfer from London Victoria when you click on link and then when you choose room options etc. it says parking and transfers are not included in price of cruise?

I'm tempted to go on a cruise but then I see all the extras I have to pay and put off e.g. drinks, wi-fi, gratuities, parking, transfers etc...

No transfers involved. Alcohol drinks are optional , tea coffee free/included. Gratitudes are negotiable depending on your satisfaction. Parking is included on some reduced sailings. wifi if you really must but i can usually manage without as enough to do on board.

Just for those considering this as a first cruise, their ships are pretty old without the modern features on many new ships. Lots of reviews saying things were broken, aircon, lifts etc plus it seems to attract a less young crowd.

Ambassader has reduced so many cruises lately and it shows never book too early. I paid a lot more for the one i booked for 20th june and its so cheap now.

Just bought yearly travel insurance for a non cruise holiday and one of the questions asked was if I’d been on a cruise in last 3 months? I hadn’t but I assume it would increase the premium/ be considered an insurance risk if you had?
