I've got Echo1, 2, Dot 3 and Echo Show 8. The Show gradually became stupid. Quite deaf now, and only plays half of a song or less when I use Amazon Music. All my other Echo devices are fine. The Show is newer than the rest, more expensive, still not great. It used to be good. Also, probably more related to Facebook, it does not display Facebook pictures anymore. Apparently, the Facebook account is not linked (in reality it is), and the developer is aware of the problem. Quite often, I had to set the pictures again and again, but now, since over a month ago, displaying my Facebook photos does not work at all.
I probably need to do a factory reset, but I've got too many smart devices linked to it, I don't want to mess with adding them up again. (edited)

Hi. Meant to get back to you but forgot. What fixed mine was to remove the music skills along with default player and add it back on again.

I've had one of these in my kitchen since release and honestly its great and can even playback my plex server through the browser.

Traded in a 1st Gen Echo the other day - had bought it for the garage for £12 refurb. Got the advance 25% off this and £20 trade in. That along with the £10 promo for playing a prime music song, watching a prime video, and buying an item, meant that this cost me around a £5er! Result!

How long did it take from when you sent it until you were able to use the 25% off plus the £20 trade-in, thanks?

For anyone interested this sounds good however it is so deaf. You're literally need to scream at it. My experience is same with the smaller echo show five as well. The best reception I've received is from echo dots

I whisper at my Show 8, and it hears me. But that's the only positive thing about this one. The other Echo devices are quite deaf but they do a better job.

Picked one up last time for £40 from Amazon. Takes a lot of space on kitchen counter. Sound was great

I have one of these, it has been rock solid since I got it. Recently though my Alexa Calendar keeps reminding me of a spurious appointment I never added to the Calendar. I've spoke to customer support and been all through the Alexa Calendar and no one can remove this appointment from the device. I have reset it, removed and re-added the Alexa and this appointment still comes up a few times a day at 10am. I will have to get back on to customer support about it as they promised to sort it in 48 hours and it has been over that.

I use it to play Radio and ask a few questions and also add appointments/reminders to the Calendar. However I rarely ask questions because Alexa is a dumb as you can get in terms of answering questions so usually it is a total waste of time.

I find the screen a bit of a gimmick but the sound is actually pretty good.
