Good price. These will be decent and fantastic for the price. Just don't expect these to go up against more expensive bookshelf speakers like b&w, Dali etc. But for the average Joe, these will be fab

What cables do these need for a pc? Just jack cables?

I'm clueless with speakers, and why on earth would they put the volume control on the back on these? lol

Probs the wrong kind of speakers. I want some for my PC and consoles to all connect to. Would you have any idea what I'd need to look at for that?

Currently using my monitors speakers and it's not so bad on PC but not the best and I just got a PS5 but on that, the sound with these monitor speakers are twice as loud as my PC lol. Bit annoying changing the volume with the monitor buttons/menu!

This is why the MR4s are better speakers but more pricier - I'm in agreement. (edited)

I have the Edifier R1380DB, again really pleased for the price. Only small grip is Bluetooth switching, you can't have 2 phones connected

How would you connect these to a TV?

I have Edifier R1700BT speakers (the first version without sub out) and I use one of these - though your TV would need have to an optical input.

Here's the one I have, though these are all over Amazon / Amazon Warehouse: amazon.co.uk/gp/…2TB

What's a bummer is that it seems to mute the volume from the TV itself (unless I'm being a dum-dum) and the sound is solely from the speakers.

Though if I set the baseline sound on the Edifiers and use my Humax remote for volume control, that works fine.50408398-AaAne.jpg (edited)

Anybody know what the passive power consumption of these is (or able to measure it)?

I'm wondering about leaving them connected to an echo dot.

There's a specifications page though it isn't that detailed. Might be worth messaging Edifier (only seems to be email contact, though).

They have a power on / off switch (same as with my R1700BT - I turn it off when I turn my TV off) though you'll have yours on all the time when using an Echo Dot.50410483-fANRa.jpg

I don't know about speakers but my edifier earphones are sick so I would recommend them as a brand.

Had these for a couple of years. Great set of speakers. Only minor gripe is the volume on the back. Not a huge issue as I use these for PC gaming/media/video calls etc and most of the time I control the volume from the PC itself.
