    A little heavy, but for the money it’s a pretty good choice for a reasonably priced commuter. Mudguard and rack mounts make it versatile.

    INTERNAL CABLE ROUTING...... wow! With the carbon fork and claris that's decent!

    Is Claris a grade above Sora or below?

    At this price there's only really one downside. You have to do business with Evans, which since the takeover by Ashley has beena bit of a nightmare. If you're going to buy it, see if you can get it from a shop, where you might stand a chance of getting some customer service from a person who actually likes bikes.

    Seems a great price. I think the next similar spec bike is the Carrera Vanquish and I reckon that is over £500 nowadays. The Decathlon bikes in this price range as well as having lower quality microshift drivetrains have low quality throwaway frames with non-detachable gear hangers and only carbon blades glued to an aluminium steerer which are both heavier and weaker. So this looks great value while stock lasts.

    A quick look shows the Vanquish is about £445 at the moment (£40 discount available). Maybe a good option if you want disc brakes rather than rim brakes. This is £350 including postage. However you can use cashback sites for Halfords and buy Halfords giftcards discounted with cashback too. So you might be able to bring it closer in price if you spend the time to do so. Not sure who makes the Carrera road bikes at the moment. Many of the mountain bikes were coming from Insera Sena (Polygon/Marin) but unsure about the road bikes but Vanquish does look nicely made.

    I have to say this Forme bike looks brilliant value. It has a proper Claris crank set in fact the whole groupset looks to be Shimano Claris for the drivetrain. Also it doesn't have dropped seat stays which makes the frame stronger if a little more rigid so that is good for lifespan. Just looks brilliant for the money.

    The crankset is not Claris(FSA possibly) and the brake calipers are not Shiman(Tektro)

    I bought one for my wahoo Kickr, the listing is wrong, the bike is still worth the money but disapointing its not full shimano groupset as advertised, the front wheel was out of true and the front mech was slightly damaged, i had to bend it back into shape a little, the bikes black btw not blue.

    Wow that is a lot of differences. Was it actually the same bike you were sent 'Longcliffe 2'? It's not really acceptable to do that and I can't see a disclaimer on the page saying some components may vary. I've got an Evans store about a 15 minute walk from me. I would definitely want to see what I was getting before purchase based on what you have stated. From what you have stated this reads like your bike;

    winstanleysbikes.co.uk/for…ike

    That is the Longcliffe road bike not the Longcliffe 2 which perhaps is slightly upgraded. You can see the Longcliffe 2 is blue and has full Shimano Claris except it still shows Tektro brake calipers.
