Buy honey from your local beekeeper and support them instead. China (Non-EU) has been selling sugar syrup as honey. (edited)

I usually can't afford honey and buy aldi golden syrup instead, so in this case I suppose it's better to support some bees than no bees, maybe?

Thanks OP Ordered. I just hope it is genuine honey and not some Chinese made flavoured syrup.

I've stopped buying normal (non EU crap) and manuka from Aldi £4.49 at the moment or sometimes home bargains have special ones from New Zealand for £3.00 I know not as cheap as this but just use little less but good stuff!

    Expensive for sugar syrup

Look at where it’s from “a blend of non eu honey” china. Buy British local honey

So this is better than nothing, I guess...

Cheap so called honey is probably the biggest scam. Real honey doesn’t come cheap 40-200£ / kg at the least.

Why is it if it's not honey?

Bought this and it's great. The same sized honey in Lidl is £1.09 currently. #justsaying. My kids don't notice the difference but my wallet did!

I think they sell this in B&M or one of those budget supermarkets anyway, think its about the same price.

This honey is from my home town, Newtown, Powys, Mid Wales, you can find this honey in B&M and Iceland, at this price.. I have it daily on my cereal (with hot milk) and in my coffee.

They use ‘UK’ in a sentence to try and get swift readers just assume it’s UK honey. Honestly just rubbish stuff, I like the M&S single apiary British honey think it’s £5 a jar or 3 for 2 so works out a good price for the real stuff.

I don't know why but when it says "tested for authenticity", that makes me trust it less :/

Sad to see top Amazon reviews praising this for *NOT* crystallizing because "I’ve heard if honey crystallises then it means it’s full of sugar/additives" and other false statements.

Uh, no.... genuine honey *WILL* crystallize because it contains pollen around which the crystals can form. (Just heat it gently to dissolve those, if desired.)

Some flowers result in honey with higher fructose vs. glucose ratio which crystallize more slowly, but if the honey doesn't crystallize at all be very suspicious...
